How to replace your Jawbone Big Jambox rechargeable battery 

Thanks for watching. I hate when manufacturers do not repair or sell replacement parts. Hopefully this will show you how to take it apart and fix it yourself.

+Leandro Peña Same batteries are used in the custom battery pack the only difference is the shape of the circuit board and the color of the shrink wrap.

2500mah the replacements I get are 2600mah.

+Ash Crowther If its a retail they put different software on it. I have a service on ebay that will remove the demo software. Search on ebay for demo software removal jambox. You might need to replace the battery as well, sometimes they still work sometimes they do not.

+Ash Crowther No because I have to install it on the device physically. I have to reflash the chip with a program and software. If I gave those things away I would not have a service.

dethveggie Those two holes are from a store floor model. Someone might have already opened the jambox. All of the jambox's that I have ever opened had all been torx.

The battery specs are 10.8VDC 2500mah. The replacement batteries are 2600mah.

+李承耀 the voltage range of the battery is 9.0Vdc to 12.6Vdc different manufacturers label them different. It is the correct battery.

+Ethan Lee Its a 2.6 ah battery which, correct me if I am wrong I think it's about 15 hours of continuous use. I am sure that's with low volume settings and some features turned off. I would say 10 hours real world. The rechargeable lithium batteries generally have a guarantee that they will still have 80% capacity at 300 full charge, discharge cycle. The batteries I sell on ebay are made with the same cells that the original battery has, the only difference is the circuit board in not made by jambox, but it still performs the same functions as the original. Hopefully that answers your questions.

+Arthur Sarmento does the jambox turn on when its plugged in? If yes then yes the battery is dead.
