Thx for the video. I realized that with the Hover 1 Journey scooter, you have to insert the back tire and the brake altogether as you push into those grooves; that way you will be able to put those screws back on the brake assembly and the rest is easy. Again thank you. Also when changing the inner tube, I had to use a 240 mm tire iron for motorcycles. I'm not sure if anything less sturdy will do the job at pulling that inner tube, at least on my Journey. To put it back on, you can use your suggested plastic tool. Awsome help from all of you!!
Thank you so much for this. I have the same hover-1 pioneer scooter. I was so worried thinking I would have to shell out a lot of money to fix this. Thank you so much for posting a video on how to fix this.
Trick with the brakes is to clench the brake lever then tighten up the calliper. Took my back wheel off yesterday. It was like that door in the hateful eight. I’ve ordered 2 inner tubes and tyres and a mud guard for the back then I’m all set. Great video. Made it look easy.
This was very helpful thank you! So I have a 12inch tire on my Ebike/Escooter does that mean i just get a 12" tube for it? Or does the tube need to be smaller than the tire?
Spent about 4 hours trying to replace the innertube on the M365 and I've had enough, getting the tyre back on is an absolute nightmare. I melted 1 tyre in the microwave following some advice on another video and the old tyre in a pan of boiling water didn't help. Think I'll take it to a shop 😂
Hi thank you for posting this video . I have a question I have two flat tires front and back . If I purchase the tubeless tires which ones should I purchase . The link doesn’t work anymore. Do I need to pump up the tubeless tires . My husband and older son are rough on these scooters so I thought tubeless might be the way to go for me. Thank you in advance.
My apologies. The black and yellow tool I was using came free with a tube I bought like 20 years ago. I've not seen the exact tool again, BUT - there are better tools. These amzn.to/3iQe2AQ hook on to the spoke in a bike tire (not needed here) but are virtually the same thing with the tiny lip and handle,. They are roughly the same size as well. And. . . you get four of them instead of one.

These tires were a pain in my fucking ass. I learned a lesson in life and to check out reviews about replacing parts on all scooters, cars etc in the future.
Could you please make a video or give some details on how to replace the tube for the rear tire on mi 4 lite 2nd gen . I find it very difficult to disassemble the rear tire
Andi help. Hello. I don't seem to be able to put the brake back on. The tire is properly set in the grooves all the way in but the brake does not go in as easily as you show in the video. What am I doing wrong?
I was able to follow on per well until it came time to take the tire off the rim. I have the little tool but I’ve been struggling to pop the tire off for line 30 minutes
Did you ever get it Charles? It takes one left in position to hold an edge off, and another one to run around the rest of the lip of the tire to get it off. I did it again in a front tire video I posted here if you'd like to see more instruction on it. It's at 01:26 in the following video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dzsgjCj397c.html
This video was great! I actually ordered a gotrax g4, and it has airfilled tires. I was looking to see if there were 10 inch tubeless tires but couldn't find any yet. Any advice? Thank you!
Is it possible to use a hard rear tire on Hover 1? 2nd flat in 3 months from hit a bump that pinched the tube. Tubes are actually a bit to large and inflate with a kinck in them.
I have 10" wheels and I when I try to inflate the air the tyre is uneven. How to fix this? The tyre and tube is brand New. Tried multiple times and adjusting the tyre but it gets bigger on one end and smaller on the other end of the tyre. Like there is not coming Even pressure all around the circle. Rims are fine.
Can you tell me what specific model this is? I had the hover 1 dynamo, and could not find a video on how to change the tires. They are made completely different. I ended up just returning it. Now I want to buy a new one but one that I can actually find a tutorial for. All reviews say these tires pop easily and recommend soild tries.
Andi the only really hard part i ran into was the DANGGGG screws on the brake calipers it stripped baddddd got the idea to use my Robo Grip that worked like a butter!!!🤣 Factory set each and every screw with loctite Ohhh Man but everythings back in one workn piece thanks again for ur 📹 🙌
I think i got a flat i my tires but im not sure the weather is getting cold so it could be that. I blown them up the other day and they slowly went down. Im going to try to replace them lol i know nothing about this stuff i seen that you didn't have to replace the outside of the tire does that need to be replaced or is it just a shell to protect the tube lol i know nothing?
On the one I did, the motor was in the front wheel. I did not unhook it, I built a holder so I wouldn't mess up the cable when trying to take the tire off and put the new one on. There's a video I made on it, but it's the front tire. Might help 🤷🏼♀️
Hi Robert - everything I've seen says that yes, the Xiaomi M365 has 8.5 inch tires: Specifications Model:M365 Weight:Approx. 12.5kg Frame:Aerospace-grade aluminum Tire size:8.5 inches Motor size:6.7 inches Colors:White, Black
That's strange Justin. Haven't had that issue. Have you stripped the head on it or did you break the head off? Otherwise it's a question about more leverage.
Just did some googling - this is all I could come up with: "I'd have a look at the valves. It sounds like they are stuck in the "open" position. Perhaps the pump is pushing them too far down, or there may be some dirt in there. Or maybe you just have bad inner tires. Try to get in there with some pointy pliers and see if you can pull it up. Normally it should return to the normal level (almost flush with the outer ring) by itself." That was from a bike forum - good luck!
According to their website, the 2020 Horizon model has a solid 8" rear tire and a pneumatic (air filled) front tire that is 8.5 inches. So yes, you can buy the inner tube to replace the front tire.
@@erichughes7382 You could, if the hole is small enough but the tubes are like $5 each if you order. So if it were me and I were going through all this, I'd just get a new one and be done with it. amzn.to/3crKlCT
@@AndiWofford not those, the one side of the front wheel has like 8 screws on it, visible in your video here. They go all around the wheel (one side only, round pattern)
@@AndiWofford Andi, thanks. I'm trying to removed the tire, not put it back on. I wish I could send you a picture. Its seems to be the big black circular "thing" on the inside of the break that won't clear the rim of the tire. Of course the break itself won't clear the silver disc itself either. I've undone more bolts that you show in the video and I'm worried about taking any more off.. On my FB page I've asked for recommendations of a place to take it to but without any luck. ;
I changed the rear tire tube on my electric scooter, now it won't go, and the brake light flashes when I hold in the brake lever. Anyone know what's going on here? Thanks in advance.
@@demondtv9775 According to the specifications, yes you can use the tires I link to: "8. 5 inch tires with a 300 W motor reaches speeds up to 14 mph - weight capacity of 220 lbs to ensure safe riding. 8. 5 inch tires allow for greater stability. Foldable design - convenient, stylish and exciting form of transportation."
Andi Wofford - I'm glad to know that because if I get one more flat on my Hover, I'll be looking to change out to a solid tire. The only problem is, from what I hear, installation is a KILLER!
@@TheKaybjay2 I feel you on this so much! I had two flats and have finally had it with tubes. It's not as hard as you may think - to be honest. Use some zip ties and a crowbar after boiling the tire. Or wait for the video, I'll walk you through it 😊
Please don't use an air compressor to fill the tubes. The chance of you bursting it are extremely high. If you do "jumps" on your scooter like I do... (Bunny Hops I guess) Do NOT inflate it to 50PSI! 40 or 45 is more than sufficient.
Are you heating it up enough? It needs to sit in boiling water for at least 15 minutes. Then it should be malleable enough to follow the video instructions with the zip ties and some sort of tire spoons
Can't get tire back on.. it seems way to0 tight. I used spoons, flathead screwdrivers, and myh friend bike repair tool.. we almost broke the tool. AM i doing something wrong, I don't see any struggle in the video putting the tire back on..
You're absolutely correct. For the Xiaomi 365, the four bolts for the Rear Wheel Cap Screws are 2.5mm allen wrench heads and the bolt heads for the Rear Wheel Mounting Bolts are 4mm allen wrench heads.
2:47 at this moment i rather install the solid tires, all u need to do is to heat the tire eather in the microwive for 3 minutes or put it on boiling water enough so the tire gets more flexible, ( remember to wear gloves or youll burn the shit out of you ), after the heating process is done just rub both the rim and the tore with something like oil ( i used on mine oil like kinda it was the ones used for cars engine ) then go and mount that tire youll need to apply alot of presure on it towards the rim but trust me i did it myself on my hover 1 pioneer and changed both the front and rear tires
Make sure that you’re using a lubricant to help get it over the rim. That should help it slip right on, and using a tool should help coerce it on there. I’m sorry it’s challenging Patty.
Word of advise girl talk slow and present slow. You went way to fast and certainly did not explain in detail what you need to do if you could please message me and I am more than happy to explain.................
