If find these plants very top heavy so it's tempting to pot them large to weight them, and stop them tipping over. A real issue for people with small growing spaces like verandas. I wish I could handle them better but I've always had trouble with them and rarely get flowers.

Hi Rachel, I bought one yesterday. It’s just a cutting. Written on the cutting was the word Red. Today I just put it in a clear plastic large container half filled with orchid kiwi bark an pearlite mix. I’m going to wait a few more days before I add some cactus mix soil to the container. Idk if the cutting has healed enough yet. I’m not adding any water either until a week has passed. I set this container into a white ceramic decorative pot. Wish me luck.

Thank you, Rachel. I have one of these, it blooms with giant reddish pink flowers. It has a myriad of long shoots going all over the place. The pot is small but the plant is wedged into a corner so it can’t throw itself down on the floor. (It has done this in the past) Do you think I should repot? Should I prune it?

Help! I have one that is huge - can I divide it?

I was reporting an so I I recently purchased. Seller told me that it was due for a repot. Well don't know what I was thinking but I separated plant and rubbed soil away from its roots like a violet! Then thought I wasn't supposed to do that! So I went and watched your video and realized I did a huge no no! Is there anything I can do to save this plant it's the same kind your repotted in this video achermanni (spelling)? Should I put in the medium of should I let it dry first? Help I am new with these plants.
