We apologize if we came across as yelling. We wanted to make it clear that we no longer recommend cutting it. Cutting it does still vent it, but it was limiting our customers to install it upright only (otherwise it would leak), so we no longer recommend doing so. Thank you for your question!
DirectMaterial.com Well I just received the gauge in the mail and instructions said to cut it which I did is there anyway to get a replacement plug and where can I get some glycerin oil?
My Vacuum pressure gauge has a rubber stopper as the first one in the video, but with a hole in the center of the rubber stopper. It reads 5 inHg instead of 0 at room conditions. I tried the method suggested in the video but couldn't help. What to do?
Thank you for your question! In most cases it will reset, but it’s possible that it might not and it’s not necessarily a mechanical defect. There are a few different reasons why that could happen. If you’re having an issue with one of our pressure gauges, we would need more details to be able to offer a solution. If that's the case, please, don’t hesitate to contact us: 888-334-4339
Thank you. Came looking for confirmation of this, AND whether the bubble inside was normal and alright. As you didn’t mention it at all, I’ll bet it is.
I have the same pressure gauge as the one you have at 1.:00. (a liquid-filled pressure gauge) It's installed before the RO membrane when the pump runs, the pressure reaches 95 psi (6.5 bar). when the pump turns off, it turns back to zero slowly. I installed the same gauge on the feed line before the sediment filter, but it doesn't move, looks like it's only working on high pressure...the pointer doesn't move in low pressure.....Is there a way to fix it or should I replace it with a new one?!! Thank you...
got a question for you i got a liguid gauge 0 to 60 and i got a 1990 k5 blazer got my engine rebuld i did some up grades and some mods to mt tbi so i need the gauge to set my regulator pressure and i got some to burn my chip i put bigger cam in it ..my gauge were reading 10 psi with the stock spring and i try to adjust it but it stay at 10psi so i were thinking maybe the spring were weak so i put in a 18psi spring when i frist put it in with no adjustment it was reading 10 psi ..so i started to adjust it and it went to 20 psi i were trying to get it to go to 14 psi so when i back off it the screw is not even touching it and it is still at 20 psi it as if it is sticking ..and when unscrew the gauge it dont drop down to 0 and it should what do you think

I have a DuraChoice 1,500 PSI Gauge for my water pressure on a truck-mounted hot water extraction unit. Somehow the Needle seems to have OVERPRESSURIZED all the way past 1,500 and is now rest below the pin on 0.
Hello Josh, Please send pictures of the gauge to Patl@durachoice.com of the gauge sitting at both above 1500 and below 0. We would like to further investigate to resolve this for you, as well as ask a few questions about your application.
Hello Sy, please contact us directly either through our website at DirectMaterial.com (we have a live chat feature!) or call us directly at the phone number seen there, 1-888-334-4339. Assuming that your gauge is one of our products, we will potentially need your order number to look closer into things. Regardless, please feel free to reach out to us!
I was itching for the part where the pointer is removed and re-inserted as a way to zero a gauge, there's is a tool set aside just for removal of pointers and their reintroduction
Yes, that is definitely not something we recommend for our gauges and it's not something we offer now but we may look into it in the future. Thank you very much for your feedback and for watching!
I have a 4500 PSI compressor that had its oils/fluids drained prior to shipping to me. I have to fill up the pressure gauge with either glycerine or silicone oil but I don't know which one to use. It has that rubber stopper so I can easily pour in the liquid, I Just don't know which viscocity or fluid to choose. I have looked everywhere online and there is no specifc answer so I'd really appreciate any input you may have on the matter, thank you.
Hi there! Thank you for your question. If it's one of our gauges, it would most likely be glycerin, but we do have a few silicone ones. It could be either, depending on the manufacturer. Are you able to call them? If you like, feel free to call us at 888-334-4339 and we can try to help you figure it out.
I've been looking for this for awhile and almost gave up and gave my $60 gauge away LOL!. It was reading 2 psi and couldn't figure out how to get it back to 0 until I just seen this. Thanks man!!....And to everyone that has a liquid fuel pressure gauge that is behind, next to the fitting like the Holley gauge's instead on top shown in the video, it also works the same!! 👍🏻
We are always happy to assist! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to reach out to us via chat, phone, or online at DirectMaterial.com!
