I always thought the .31 and .51 were types of oil used as per Mercedes-Benz Spec. 31 is standard interval of 10,000 miles and 51 is long life 15,000 miles. You reset the service indicator depending of the type of oil used.

What Type Of Oil Is Recommended For 2014 Sprinter? I Seen Lots Of Videos, And Each Person Is Using Different Oil. Does It Have To Be Specifically Diesel Engine Oil ?

Thats brilliant thanks for showing. However over here in the UK, the Mercedes Guy that services my Sprinter, when he plugs in the Mercedes dealer laptop and re-sets the countdown service clock, he has two choices for mileage. 19.000 and 25.000 miles - Mine is always set to 19.000 miles. Would I need to choose a different code to reset 51 ? to get 19.000 miles?

Is the procedure for this the same for a Sprinter that used diesel fuel?

@sprinterrentals Thank you. Do you you have any resource for the other screens on the onboard computer (these are NOT covered in the owner's manual for units without buttons on the steering wheel, for which the screens are different).

I have a 2011 Mercedes Benz Sprinter and my check engine light is on. We recently had the schedule b maintenance done and added DEF as soon as the message came on and now it says I have 1 start left. What does this mean? What needs to be done?

hey Steven I have a question! When I reset the oil all is good but when i go to check the miles left there is 2 small wrenches under the 15000 mi. how to reset this ?

I need help to reset service indicator light in Mercedes benZ vito 113 van 2014 model

had my sprinter for 2 years from new. Only done 1565 mile from new and now a single spanner shows with -19D.. I am disbled so only drive the van when need hospital or doctors. How do I reset the -19D and spanner. Local Mercedes guy wants over $800 NZ dollars to do a service. I think with only 1565 miles on clock he is ripping me off. Thanks
