You don’t need to turn off Find My Mac first, though you can if you want, because one of the erase settings is to put in your password to turn off Find My Mac, which yours didn’t show because you had already turned it off. Also it takes only a few minutes to start ready for a new user as it doesn’t re-download the OS like it used to on previous Macs.

Is it true that this macs M2 will not go back to the factory software it was like whenever you purchase it?

Will it be restored to an older version of macOS or will it keep the version currently installed? Asking for a friend who installed Vega beta and screwed up the graphics...

I experienced problem to enter into recovery mode. Once I click option on the gear icon, I was stuck at this list of languages and it keeps loading, but cannot proceed to next screen. What is the cause of this problem. During the process, I’m connected to Wi-Fi as well. I’m using m2 air macOS Ventura . Please advise

I’ve done this but now it’s giving me a pop up screen after I log in saying “Set cannot continue the account information specified during setup Assistant was incorrect & prevent the managed device from function as expect” it’s then prompts me to erase all content again which I’ve done 3 times or restore the mac using apple configuration. Which I don’t know how to do please help :(
