How to Reset Apple Watch (Too Many Passcode Attempts)

Last week, my Apple Watch locked me out and I had no idea how to get rid of this error message. Turns out it's super easy. In this video, I'll show you how to reset and pair the Apple Watch without using a passcode.
PS. the Apple Watch locks itself after 10 consecutive incorrect passcode attempts, which can sometimes happen if it's in your pocket.

If this isn’t working for you, try a slightly different method: Connect Apple Watch to charger, press and hold side bar, press and hold the Power Off icon, the screen will shrink and the erase button will pop up. Credit: @Prabodh K Sheth

if it’s still not working and pressing the crown sends you back to the home screen: push down the power button and wait for it to prompt you to power off ur watch, then press firmly on the screen of your watch and it should pop up within a few seconds!!

Mine is not showing the reset option after pressing the upper button. When I press the lower button first it does show 'power off' screen, but after I pres the upper button it says again 'too many passcode attempts...' again. Could you please help? Thank you!

I purchased an Apple Watch Series 5 off of Marketplace and it will start the pairing process but a screen will pop up saying that it needs a software update. When I try to do the update it says that I am entering the wrong username and password.

So what about the data? Does Apple Watch save the data or the way apps are organised? Or does it reset like a complete new Apple Watch?

It doesn’t save the data, you have to restore from latest backup

Did you find out how to fix this issue, mine will only allow the “power off” when not on the charger so the other method doesn’t work for me.

Thanks but mine doesn't pop up the power screen , it will pop up the key pad to enter the password then go into you have to wait 3 hours to make another attempt :(
