How to reset Bosch/Siemens washing machine (child lock) 

This guy is a saviour. Clear, just be patient for the 2 min and he gets your washing machine opened. Ditch the Siemens manual and all the other advice you find on the internet. This is it! Saved my day. Thank you very much

It worked the video helped me unlock it.I have the Bosch 500 series I pressed the first 3 buttons at the same time and the key symbol finally disappeared .All day I thought my dryer was broke ! Thank u soooo much!!!

I followed your logic for my Bosch 500 series dryer. I pushed the start button numerous times, holding for 3-5-10 seconds, did not work. The solution was holding the 'Time Dry' and 'Finish In' buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. There was a bar above the 2 buttons on the visual display so it was trying to tell me something, but the breadcrumbs were not close enough together. Thank you for you time in uploading this. Like other viewers, you saved me a costly callout fee.

I have the Bosch Serie 4, and the child lock key suddenly appeared (I may have hit some buttons unintentionally with my leg) and was preventing me from starting any wash programme. I searched and searched online and this was the first video that pointed me in the right direction. So, in your video, you suggest pushing all 3 buttons. I tried this on the Serie 4 and it did not work. BUT when I pushed just 2 of the buttons - 'Spin' and 'Finish In' - it DID work. So I am very grateful for your guidance here!

I tried this and it didn't work, but it was half way there! I did as in the video and pressed the 3 buttons, but then ALSO needed to press the Start button on my model. It worked! Thank you, I wouldn't have known to press those 3 buttons!

This worked for me too. I have the Siemens iQ300. The error I had was that door would not open after wash. When we turned it off and on again we got a error sound: 3 short beeps and two long beeps with key flashing briefly then staying on. Thank you for taking the time to share your tip. The clothes mountain in my house was growing every day which was making me give serious thought to just telling the kids I was popping out for milk but secretly acquiring a new identity and starting over abroad,( rather than days and nights of nonstop laundry), thanks to your help I've decided to hang around for another while yet! My machine is under the kitchen work top/ only space available for food prep so I'm sure this will reoccur, I've misplaced the manual, by any chance do you know if there is a solution to stop this from happening everytime someone accidentally leans on the buttons?
