I got a Honda Accord 2017 sport thanks for teaching me how to reset the light I just barely learned it. But I have a question how do you reset a light on a Kia optima lx 2.4l 2013 if it has an engine oil light which I don't think so can you help #HOUNDACARGUY thx 😎
GERARDO1343 Hope this can help and thank you. Press and hold the Trip button, and turn the ignition switch to the “On” position but do not start the engine. ... In the “User Setting” mode select “Maintenance”. Select the desired item by using TRIP button and confirm it by RESET button Kind of like an older Honda with a couple more steps
@@HONDACARGUY the version I have does not have a push button i have a key the same thing you told me the same thing the manual book says but doesn't work what's all in the high-end models and on the EX and SXL and the turbo models what 😅 imma do go to directly to the source to a Kia dealer and ask one of the mechanics. Also there's no menu displaying maintenance option I checked and I know this car really good trust me I'm a diesel mechanic myself. I guess they didn't included it 🤔
So I have a 2017 accord coupe. Just did oil change. 308 past but when I press the button it doesn't cause whole screen to blink. 308 is the only thing that blinks.
jessie quickly press the same button on the instrument cluster, depending on model there may be a button on the left side of steering wheel to cycle through different screens such as fuel economy and etc
ChuChuTrain it does use some information from the ecm as well as time and miles to calculate service intervals but that car should only have synthetic in it just so you know.
Rich Aquila great question but unfortunately not also to be noted this reminder is actually adjusted to your driving habits and time. I have seen it come on at like 4K miles and up to 9k miles
Rich Aquila yeah I can understand that what I would recommend is using a window sticker for your service intervals and just reset the light if it comes on early. Most Subaru models also have adjustable maintenance lights too. Honda is pretty strict on theirs unfortunately.
@@HONDACARGUY Wait so I get back in my car and turn my car on and the wrench light is back on and it still says 15%, but I've got my oil change earlier last week well earlier this week so I'm not understanding
@@HONDACARGUY also when I was holding down that button that sticking out nothing was blinking on the screen like how yours was I have a 2017 Honda Accord EXL coupe
If you have an LX model there is a button on the left side of steering wheel on the dash with a symbol that matches the light on your instrument cluster, press and hold that after you set the tire pressures and it will flash then disappear
Ryan Rasmussen could be anything unfortunately from gas cap to fuel issues transmission issues smog stuff even the driver assistance stuff can set that light
So on the touring model 2017 you have to actually go into the settings and reset it that way holding the button does not work on that set up I figured I would pass the information along in case somebody else needed it
Grrr, no matter what I do mine does not start off on this screen. You’re not explaining how to get to that screen you were showing. You’re also not stating that the door has to be shut I don’t think. Didn’t work 😢
