My sister is someone who doesn't remember any of her dang passwords for any account and it drives me nuts trying to help her with stuff. After trying to unsuccessfully log into one of her old laptops, we decided to just factory reset the laptop so she can use it for work. Well, I googled a few articles and none of them showed me how to reset the computer without having to log in. You are a lifesaver! Instructions were so easy to follow. Thank you!
This video literally cheered me up. I forgot my password and couldn't use windows for months, thanks a lot for such great and short instructive video. :D
I have spent hours today on the internet trying to figure out my Windows 10 problem and stumbled across your video, you explained to me in under 6 minutes while others doled out convoluted and confusing instructions, thank you my friend!

Thank you! After my son graduated, I was using his student ID & PW to sign on to use the newest PC in our home. After a Windows update, it locked the system and I found your instructions on here to wipe & reset the system. Great tutorial and I appreciate your expertise! Cheers!
Augh! Thank you so much, I know nothing about computers but you explained everything perfectly and I appreciate you taking the process slowly so I could double check I was doing everything right! You saved my life, My PC kept blue screening so I hope this helps! Tyvm!
Bro how are you I asked one question my laptop 💻 is format all my files how I can recover the problem I reset all now my laptop is empty start like new laptop please help me I need all my files
after it did the reset it says “an operating system wasn’t found. Try disconnecting any drives that don’t contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart” what do i do, bc i press those keys but it doesn’t do anything it just keeps showing that screen
Thanks for the help ! For anyone who is not getting the blue options screen, I was holding shift while clicking power and still holding while clicking restart. Didn't work. You have to hold down shift while clicking power, then let go of shift, then hold shift down *again* while clicking restart. (That part threw me for longer than I care to admit. lols)
This method is used for windows 10 and above. If you have windows 9 and under sorry but your out of luck. Mines is windows 10 pro and this worked for me. Just hold shift, left click the power icon. Let go, then hold shift again, and click resetart and then wait a few seconds then boom you have the blue reset screen.
Dude u have no idea I reset my pc and this pop out and I was scare to death cuz I didn’t know what to do xd I was looking and looking and couldn’t find the right video then I come to your video and you safe my wallet a good amount of money! I love you u gain a sub and a forever friend! Thank you so much!
Thanks a lot. I had no idea you could do it this way. I'll keep this in mind in the future. My parents are always having issues and it's so much easier to just reset their PC for them. They ignore any type of weird pop up, etc. because I've trained them to, but this is something I can explain to them over the phone which is very helpful lol. I'm trying to reset my daughter's laptop to give to my son currently, but I've been having an issue where the restore won't complete because there isn't enough space to wipe everything out. I've never heard of this with something like 15 pc's over the years in the house. This was a very cheap laptop just used for school work during the pandemic so it's is very limited. I just don't understand why I need room to completely remove all files. I've even deleted tons of things and still have this issue
@GamesUntilDawn I've a question. So I want to remove my school account but its currently in control of an administrator, so I've decided to factory reset my laptop...but...I have files linked with my school account and are backed up on cloud storage with Microsoft. Will those files be deleted or if I were to login to a different device with my school account...Will I still have the files?
when ur turning on ur computer turn it off and on when the windows logo appears do that 3 times and it's gonna do automatic repair then this menu will pop up
Thanks alot I lost my laptop in the basement of my old house and it was returned 6 years later by the homeowner, and I forgot the password but this video really helps and I do recommend doing this method thanks.
Omg! YOU ARE SUCH A LIFE SAVER! My grandmother passed away few months ago and she hasn’t used her laptop and something happened to the laptop when she used it and it hasn’t been used since! 🥺I needed a new laptop since I’ve started college and now I’m able to use the laptop now! 😭😭😭
admin acc is for parent controls, or anything that restricts u from doing stuff on ur computer. it could also be ur wifi so take it to a friends house and try it there. ur parents could've installed parent controls wo u knowing or if u bought it from someone else if they had it, it's their admin password.
I had to but windows 10 and I updated it and it broke my pc so I wanted to reset it and I couldn't turn the pc on fully as it would crash this video was super helpful thank you

Thank you for the information. I've followed all the steps, at at a point the prompt is asking for a recovery key. Not sure how to go from there. Any advice on how to bypass this recovery key? I want to wipe it clean and start fresh.
