I recently upgraded to a better phone and wanted to use my old ZTE phone to replace four remote controls I was using. I didn't have nearly enough space to do so. But, using your method of resetting to factory did the trick. Now, I don't have to mess with multiple remote controls for TV, soundbar, etc. My ZTE has evolved into a remote control for all. Plus, it's a rechargable remote control which saves on batteries, too. Yeehaw! Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you VERY much! My touchscreen stopped working two days after purchasing it, and I was afraid I'd have to return it without resetting the data, since I couldn't get into settings. I was _so_ relieved to see that this method only required the hard side buttons!
Thank you Sir! A friend hasn't been able to use his ZTE mobile phone for about 6 weeks. After watching your video I was able to get it working again. Brilliant.
I dropped my phone, it would not come all the way on. did the hard reset, and during setup was able to recover contact list . phone is working now so thanks!
Method 1 works on Hot Pepper VLE5 phone as well. Before I saw this video, I struggled nearly 4 hours to hard reset with no results. Nice tutorial. New sub too.

The VolUp/Power button simultaneous press worked on a ZTE Z320 flip-phone. The menu item to reset was just ""wipe data" instead of "Wipe data/factory reset", but other than that, it was just like in the video. I now get the language setup screen as with a really-new device. So how many times do I get to click "Like"? :-) Here's why I had to reset: My ZTE Z320 was supposedly "New open box"; in reality it has evidently been used. On power up it asked for a PIN (which of course I didn't have), and without that, all it could do was place an emergency call. (It also showed an alarm set for 6:00 AM Sunday.)

My zte goes to the gym screen factory test mode and it says to exitlong press the power key then it takes me back to the screen unlock. So my question is how do I get from there to the screen where I can do the wipe and factory reset. Please help
Thanks for the help! I called tech support and we got as far as "Ok sir power down your cell phone." And then they realized "Um sir, I do not have the manual for your phone." hahahaha!

Trying to pass the welcome screen on a zte z917vl any idea about this one? I’ve tried factory reset/wiping data about ten times still wants my old email
A hard factory reset will not delete or remove a Google account (old email). You either have to log in using a Google username and password previously set up on the device by you or previous owner (contact previous owner) or contact Google directly and get the Google account sorted out.
what do i do if my ZTE phone's volume up button isnt working properly? i borrowed my brother's zte phone (we both have the same version of zte) and tried to go to the factory settings and yes, it worked but when i tried it on my zte phone, it didnt work,, it keeps on opening the phone instead of going to the factory settings,, and i think its because my volume up button is broken,, ive been trying to go on the factory setting on my zte phone fore almost an hour now, ive pressed both power button and the volume up button very hard that my fingers hurt.
You might have a button/s not working at all (broken button) or the phone is just broken and no longer works, it might be time to replace it. Suggest watching my video and trying it again.
@@nickscomputerfix i tried it many times now,, and its still not working, im thinking about telling someone to fix it but im scared that i might get scammed or it might not get fixed but i still have to pay..

One thing you forgot to mention was if you Have an SD card is to unmount it and remove it before doing factory reset. Otherwise you will lose all pics and vids etc on SD card. At Least this is what I was told years ago. I guess it still applies to today's changes in system ops.
I've done this a couple times and I still get the Google frp garbage.... Is there a way to bypass my problem through a computer? Please help I need my phone back so I can get in contact with my children

Didn't work for me, still ended up at the device was reset log in with previous account screen yet again. I've tried everything I can find to unlock my daughter's phone for her any other suggestions?
If this is done and you have a prepaid phone service, will I loose my service? I’ve bought the phone from a friend that came with service already paid for she had got a better phone through another place. I don’t mind if the service is in her name, yadda yadda. I just would like make everything else is mine. I bought the phone for the service that came with it not for the phone. So if I were to do this method an loose the service I’d be screwed outta money. Would appreciate any advise? Thanks
Hi Nick, hmmm... stayed on the wiping data screen for approximately 10 minutes can't tell if it's frozen , pushing and holding none of the buttons has allowed me to start over. Any suggestions? Thanks
