This just happened... I found one of your videos that I wanted to rewatch, since I finally got most of the stuff I need to try that particular item. That was around 1:00 a.m. Since I have narcolepsy, I fall asleep VERY easily, so I didn't make it through the video, and on auto play, I JUST woke up 7 hours later, to your sweet laugh! God only KNOWS how many videos played during that time...I hope I learned something! LOL
Your the bomb Yvonne, I not only love the way you show us all how you make your beautiful items, but you have the most sweet patient personality. I'm turning 58 in one day, and I want to be like you when I grow up?
Wow! What a difference with such a slight change. I think you read my mind because I just got some Art and Glow. My first resin. This looks like a good project for me. Thanks!
You are making me want to work with resin more and more. You have me thinking about multi color cabs done in this way sort of how you would do pour paintings. I wonder how the colors would react if you did a rainbow.
Excellent video,Thank you ,they are lovely Von,, I am looking forward to trying the two part pour you did ,I hope you read my post I know your busy an possibly going to Comic con ,or craft show I think you said in live stream Recently, could you please tell when and where you and Randy will be and give a link or links and what is the fee for just attending not as artisan with tables and do these places have wheel chair access ? As my friend is un-abel to walk, She just wants so much to meet you both, She got hook on your tutorials and has been watching with me ever since and thinks as I do how great a teacher you are Von and what a wonderful personality you have.
I sure like getting resin cabs from you. I can't make them here, because Gene, my hubby, can't be around the fumes. His COPD would make his lungs stop working. Can't have that. Thanks for sharing with me.
Hi Yvonne! I’m watching your gorgeous blue bangle resin video and I’m wondering.... are the pretty steampunk Cabachons stamped or do you use stamps? Thanx. 😉👍😍
Yvonne, your work is exceptional. I have a question--can these molds be put in the oven, since they are silicone. I would like to use them with polymer clay and put them in the oven. Any idea?
Microsoft Translator Hello! I find your blue pendants absolutely gorgeous! On the other hand, I do not speak English and I do not understand what you do.... after putting the resin transparent, you do it by hardening, you put directly over the colored resin... is that right? But how do you make sure there are bubbles in the blue resin? Thanks in advance for kindly help me on these two points! Thanks for sharing and Bravo for all your creations!
You know, I might enjoy your "super professional" (wink wink) videos more. They're showing us real time, real life. It's great! Oh, and some demo. I didn't think you'd get such variance just by adding a clear face vs a solid pigmented piece.
Hi! I don’t know if it’s possible but I would LOVE to get weights for my stretched ears in a similar style as the blue pieces. Do you do custom orders?
I’ve always wanted to make resin but I have a fear of fire (hate using matches or lighters) but now I see that you can use a heat gun and that makes everything better lol
Hey Von, quick question. Does this resin "Dome?" I bought the UV resin you suggested but my cabs still seem "flat?" In your videos, your cabs have a domed look. What am I doing wrong with the UV resin?
I just got on just wanted to know how easy is it to use resin and does it have a smell to it and is it bad? I seen some videos that people ware masks that is why I am asking so it makes me wonder if I really want to try it or not.
It depends on the brand. Some resins have stronger fumes/smell than others. If you have a well ventilated room that you can do your casting in you may not need a mask.
Also just finished watching another video where the person used the lighter you use for a BBQ as well if you have one of those so now I know there is 4 things you can use a heat gun, a small blow torch, hair dryer and a BBQ lighter. Dont leave it in one spot or you can scorch the resin and will have black burnt stuff instead of a clear look to it.
Since it's a silicone cup, it's super easy. Once it hardens you can just basically squish the cup a little and it'll all pop out. Resin doesn't stick to silicone, so it's handy to use a silicone cup that way.
@@mistycherie Good to know. I hate using stuff that adds to landfill unnecessarily! I'll have to get one of those BEFORE I use resin. I have several kinds waiting to be used, but I don't have any mixing cups so far.
@@freewaybaby Yep. The silicone hotpads and mats (like for kitchen/baking use) are also nice to place your items on when pouring the resin as it won't stick if there are spills.
Check her etsy shop. The polymer clay cabs usually sell for about $10 each. I'm not sure about the resin baubles though, because I think they are specifically for patreon supporters and her craft along kits that come with all you need to make a wire wrapped pendant.
Hi Yvonne! Just wanted to tell you that this huge channel "Now Ive seen everything" took your dragon eye tutorials and uploaded them very non transformative, getting 500k views. They did credit you in the description, but I do not think you gave permission..? Many people in the comments do not seem to know that it's not them making the eyes. Maybe you want to check that out...
