It would send it to the phone number you have on your account.

You do not need another device. If your SIM is in the device, it will automatically detect the code and go to the next step.

Recently, I had to reinstall whatsapp on my Iphone XS Max. Before that, I made a full backup using Whatsapp to icloud storage. Then, I reinstalled whatsapp and accidentally I made a new backup overwriting previous whatsapp backed up on icloud. Now, when I try to restore my backup, Whatsapp show me the lastest (and unuseful) backup. How can I get the previous/older backup? I’m confused on what to do my wife was talking with her medical tech support they asked her to reset her phone to clean up the connections with the medical device she uses her phone no longer has some apps and some settings are not the same. Your video suggestion is completely remove everything from your phone after creating a backup and restore from an earlier iCloud backup. It’s a little scary to me to resolve the problem by completing the reset process that got her here in the first place.

What I did for notes was do the reset again and then quickly saved the notes to my files app it works. Then just copy and paste to a new note

At around the 3:23 mark you say it will tell you to type in your iCloud account password. Instead, it tells me to type in my restrictions passcode, and I forgot mine, please help!

Dearest people of RU-vid, I have a question, at 3:33 it gives the message "...erase this iPhone and remove it from your account." and my anxiety kicks in right there because I don't fully comprehend the erase and remove meaning because my native language is not English. I already have a backup but should I log out of my iCloud account before doing as shown since it will remove and erase related data which includes the backup? you should be able to go the the i-tunes app, sign in under your account and find the link to purchased items. All items you have ever paid for and purchased on i tunes under your account are stored here. You will have to download them down to your phone from iTunes like you did the first time you purchased them.

I did backup on my phone and then erased it. So backup will be there when my new phone arrives? I stopped using the phone because I did not want to risk damaging it since I was trading it in to get credit towards new phone.

Mine says never, but I literally backed it up two days ago. My phone got busted and I bought this new one. I couldnt set it up with ICloud (it kept trying to send the authentication code to the busted phone) so I just started it as a new phone and then signed in to iCloud. That gave me my photos, And contacts, but not my apps, messages, wallpaper etc... Am I out of luck or is there a way to recover

So I want to do that because I have some software problems and many people suggested to me to do restore .so when I do this and login my iCloud account it will download all my stuff and the photos will be there?

My Wi-Fi and Bluetooth recently stopped working on my new iPhone 12, so I thought that erasing all content would do the trick, so I did just that but did a back up before and then I erased the entire phone to make it Iike new. Well when I went to set up the phone again I couldn’t upload the backup cuz apple doesn’t allow you to on 4G, so now I’m stuck and f*cked on a new set up and not able to upload my prior back up. Send help

MY inphone is going away for repair and so as i cant find an iphone to borrow i will have to back it up to icoud but my concern is you mentioned that i will get a verifitation code but if i have nt got an ipad pnly a dell lap top would the varifation code go to m email on my lap top thankyou for your help

Is the only way to view photos from last phone by getting them from computer? I want my photos back on my new iPhone??? I can’t find apps and data on new phone to retrieve photos.

My phone is only giving me two back up options. Today and 3 days ago but I want an older one as I am trying to get back pictures that were deleted

mines a school ipad but if i reset it its gonna delete the app the school put on it to monitor what we r doing at school but when it gets installed your ipad gets erased so i have 2 options to either get my old backup without the school thing or i get a new backup without all my other important stuff

What if the iphone that we are trying to get all the data from is broken? On the broken one for me icloud backup is on. How do I verify then?

I have a question. I did all the right things and still, it won't restore all my media although it shows that there is a backup with everything in it. It says when was the last backup made and the size of it (40 Gb in this case) but it won't restore it, at least not all of it (only like 2Gb). Ideas?

hi ik im watching this in 2023 but my ipad was told it needed to be restored and i restored it but i accidentally restored it to my mums iphone and i did ur steps until it got up to the icloud backup and on the bottom instead of it saying last successful backup it says icloud backup will occur later when connected to power what does this mean?

If I set up my new phone with the restore from I cloud I will still have the permanently deleted photo? Please please reply. I need to find those pictures. Thank you.

The thing I’m trying to do is get all of my stuff back from my broken phone, I put in the SIM card but didn’t click transfer from other phone the first time I was setting up on the new phone, I’m trying to backup now because I have no data apps now and I’m trying to get all my stuff back to normal. Can someone help
