Here's what you need to know:
1. Let the plates stay 100% submerged in vinegar for 3-4 days
2. Take them out and rinse them in water
3. Coat them in kosher salt
3. Spray lemon juice on them
4. Scrub them with a wire brush, steel wool, or some other heavy duty cleaning object.
5. Rinse in water and coat in baking soda
6. Rinse in water again
7. Let dry and paint if you desire
Disclaimer: This video is not exactly a DIY How to video... This is somewhat of a vlog and more or less goes over some of the mistakes I made on trying to restore some old rusty weight plates. I'm pleased with the outcome and can't wait to get some training footage with these plates.
