It has held up very well! A couple chips here and there where metal parts make contact, but overall great. It's only used indoors.

Did you do anything to restore the windows? What about the black plastic parts? Any advice on sprucing those up?
@6thGearGarage
@6thGearGarage 2 года назад
I don't know how to un-yellow the plastic windows. For shining up the black plastic, you could try a black trim restore product meant for vehicles. Maybe something as simple as some tire shine?

I purchase and cut 3mm acrylic plastic to make new windows. I use Back to Black plastic restoration liquid. Find it with automotive finishes.

Get your sandblaster fixed.

The sand was too moist from condensation. I need to leave it in the sun for a while.

You can't restore something like this unless you take it completely apart and completely remove all the paint. You should NEVER spray primer on paint it doesn't bond well.
@6thGearGarage
@6thGearGarage Год назад
My theory is why remove everything when the factory primer/paint is still very well bonded to the metal? My son has been playing with this for a couple of years and it has held up great.
