Here has some tips: 1-about the Sim card, it doesn’t matter which phone you inserted. Just make sure that number can receive the verify message. 2-“ can I recover the back up on a different number account?” Since you have to log into verify the account, it is normally a “no” as an answer, But if you really want to, you can give it a try, sometime it may works.

did you do it on the same phone? where did u backed up your phone ? you can go to whatsapp chat backup to see if you can restore it on your phone , or you can use icarefone to get it
