This video saved a brand new Milwaukee trimmer from flying across the yard.. New machine wouldn't "bump" and release line.. I tried 10 or more times to take head off and free it.. Never figured out what the "align" meant until the video or why it twisted so easily.. This video addressed all the issues.. I don't know why but I took string all the way out .. restrung it and it started working properly.. Thank you for addressing all the issues that Milwaukee failed to put into any instructions..
@@bill9275 Not being funny but are you turning it the right way?? It is directional. On the bottom it shows the direction to turn .. Do not put in over 25 feet or it will bind up and not release.. "Basically it jams itself if overfull.. Also string size matters as it on occassions gets underneath each other than I have to pull it apart..
@@bill9275 yeah if you have 20 feet.. Have it in the ALIGNED holes so it comes out both sides equally and are turning it the right way.. It should work.. If not my advise.. take it back and get a new one.. Goto home depot buy a new one.. Take the old one back in 2 weeks saying it stopped working.. They will refund your money :)
Nice. I had to remove head anyhow to untangle string, but then used this technique to wind it. I was also super easy to remove head just two tabs, but this is definitely the fast easy way to wind the string.
Thanks for this! I was trying to cut the lawn while my hubby was at work and of course this stupid thing runs out while he’s gone. And I’ll be derned it I’m gonna call him for help! 😂
This mystery has been driving me crazy for at least 30 years. Thank you so much for this video Dad ! Really awesome teacher and it saved me from losing my sanity with the new 400 dollar Milwaukee set I bought which included this very weed eater.
Thank you! This really helped! It was so easy to follow. I’ve watched a few of your videos and they’re always very helpful. Thanks for what you’re doing!
