@@mrsshelbylkI like what you have done. Really lovely solution to dark orange red purple finished. I would try their brand now thank you for working thru that cold.
Just found your channel on this buffet and I was hooked. Not to mention your not blah blah blahing more than you are showing your expertise. I subscribed for two reasons, quick video and not a lot of gabbing. Beautiful work. 😍
I really like this green for older pieces and the beige really brings new life in this beautiful piece. I dislike dark browns and black on furniture as to me it overtakes the craftsmanship of the piece. These new colors add so much life to these pieces it brings joy to my heart.❤😊
That wood is beautiful. I’d love to have seen it stripped, sanded, and sealed rather than painted. I do agree about removing the doodads and perhaps updating the hardware.
Even though this was a lot of work, you used the k-i-s-s theory in your design plan. Good choice. The color/s are neutral, and you kept the top and bottom in line with a natural wood look which gave it the look of a high end piece. Kudos to you.
I have downsized in recent years, but with every project you complete, I envision where I could have put it in my former larger house. Every piece is just so beautiful.
New to your videos. This piece is absolutely stunning. So much work goes into the end results. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Watching from N. Dallas.
Lemon Lady, I painted my house that same grey/green, not done yet though. Minor accent trim is like a pale marigold yellow (tan looked too much like New England, and I am in FL). The ormolus you took off kinda looks like there is something missing in those two areas, might not have looked like too much when painted. Did you try to put some brass rub and buff on the doors' raised molding? That piece was nice from the get go, you really did update it and I especially like how you did the wash basically the same color as the rest, it ties the whole thing together. Good call to use the same hardware. Of course I am being nit picky, fantastic result, and no wonder it went so fast. This should be in one for your top ten list.
I just finished a piece that shows you exactly what I am talking about. Too bad you don't have a junk email to send you pics. BTW, the putty you used it about the best it gets, that I know of. There is a shot of this buffet resting on 4 1/2 pint cans and that 1-2" of lifting it off of the floor, makes these chunky pieces look so much lighter. The paint of course does the most of that. But this is your strong point, you know when to say when, I need to do that more, allot more.
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture All the neighbors really like it, so that is the main point. They will be the ones looking at it. I am NOT a good painter, and seems to be taking too long. 😍
I have been waiting for this video since I saw your pic on Instagram… and you did not disappoint!!! I ❤️❤️❤️ this piece❣️ buffets are my favorite and this one is just stunning ❣️well done, Kara! -Jill 😘
Oh my goodness Kara, that turned out so beautifully. I love it. The color for the body is gorgeous, my favorite color is green and the gel stain that you picked worked so great with the body. I loved the two toned look. I live in the middle of California so I get the hat. I wouldn’t make it in a snowy environment either. Another great flip, as always I look forward to the next. God bless
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture Hello!! I just passed the corona "flu" and recuperating, Praise God that He keeps me safe after two times with the "corona virus" Thank you for asking. BLessings to you and yours. Have a happy holidays!
I would not call that Lemons. I have one just like it and it is part of a Duncan Phyfe set. I was told when I inherited it that it was Mahogany. Good luck with the flipping. I will be refinishing mine in hopes that I can give it to a relative in a few years. If they do not want it I will sell the set.
This turned out beautifully. The colors looked all the same to me on my screen but the ending colors looked differently. Just beautifully done! Love that piece of furniture.
I learned what works perfect to fill in dents and adhere veneer is to use the sanding dust from your piece and mix with wood glue let dry a complete 24 hours and sand lightly to blend looks exactly like it never had a lift or dent!
That Buffay is beautiful. Could you please tell me all the products that you need to redo furniture? I mean from stripper paints types of brushes types of Sanders all those things I have plenty of stuff I need to redo.
Use the saw dust from the piece mixed with wood glue to form a paste to fill in missing wood or veneer. Just use it like spackle and it will take the stain or paint the way the rest of the piece does.
yes they do! It is Ocean Shore, On of my favs from her line www.lillymoonpaint.com/product/opulent-ocean-shore/270?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=19
If I were going to buy a buffet, I would look for the little details that you removed to "update" this piece. Not everyone like stripped down modernized furniture.
WOWSER!!! I Love it!!! I Absolutely Love Sage green with wood!! My kitchen walls are Sage. You are Amazing!! Love that you live in the South!!! I’m in Athens, GA. Humidity is brutal!!!
Love the colors! I notiice you design similarly with other furniture. My hunch is you figured out what sells in your area. Beautifully, I might add. Did you do a lot of research to see what might sell in your area or did you do mostly test runs on furniture to see how long it would take to sell? Thanks!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!! This buffet looks so much better (and more contemporary) with the lovely green Lily Moon paint. You've convinced me -- I'm ordering some tomorrow and using your link for that 10% off.
15:36 ouch, that side of the drawer left open a little bit. You should totally stain the sides of the drawers in the future. Other than that, nice flip!
