I didn’t start until my 50’s and I’m still in my 50’s, and got 5 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

@Teslas Are Rare I see a lot of these recommendations but this stands out. Looking up Ms Lisa she is presentable and I find she is licensed by authoritative bodies, I will be writing her mailbox shortly. I love how she presents herself on her website, I knew I could find reliable brokers.

Assalam Alaikum All, Some have mentioned that I did not point out the Zakat that needs to be paid in my model. The amount of Zakat that needs to be paid depends on the nature of the investments that you have your savings in. So it would be rather difficult to account for what percentage of the retiree's portfolio would need to be paid in Zakat annually without knowing what they have their money invested in. Now I know the question that perhaps suggests itself here is: how does one pay Zakat on stocks? The answer to this requires nuance and will perhaps be the topic of a future video. :)

Am I understanding that 2.5% Zakkat is not paid on your full wealth excluding necessities (i.e. house, basic level of savings etc...) ? "The amount of Zakat that needs to be paid depends on the nature of the investments" ; "nature of investments" seems to imply asset class and liquity, correct ? : please provide a link with details as this is new to me i.e. what 'nature of investment' is excluded from or attracts zakkat at a lower rate.

Yes would love a video about a portfolio of $1-2m and the 4% rule. If you have the portfolio in a percent of sukooks and equities, how does zakat fit in? Is Zakat going to be on the amount gained from the profit from equities/sukooks or the total amount in your portfolio?

For zakat purposes, do stocks count as savings? If so are they counted once you sell only? Or is zakat is paid on seed money annually then another chunk once you sell? So many questions. A video on this would be really helpful 👍🏾

Can you please do a video that does NOT rely on the assumption of S&P 500 / US economy success? I'm thinking Ray Dalio's views on China's supremacy; the change of world-order (every 50-75 years) and thus, not-so-attractive era of S&P 500 in the future. Diversification strategy (where US loses constantly in the next decade) as a scenario if you will. Thank you for making great videos!

@@practicalislamicfinance Scenario - C column C3 saving balance = 0 Amount invested = 100 Does'nt update the D column from D4 onwards. Inputting value in D4, updates C column but, copying C4 and dragging the way down crashes Excel. When raise % is added it doesnt update the value in the D column.

@@oryx1235 Don't touch the C column. The C column has the savings balance formula, you shouldn't be playing around with it. Only play around with Amount invested, raise % and Portfolio Return as well as C3 where you can input your starting savings balance.

Assalamu alaikkum brother .. I have the 401 k in my company and it says American century retirement date 2050. How do we know where exactly the amount is invested. What's the halal option we have here in a USA. Is vanguard growth index fund halal? Can you tell me the halal option to invest outside for the retirement. Depends on what you're wholesaling. If the underlying product is Halal, I see no issue with the wholesale method of business, i.e. buying in bulk, repackaging/improved packaging and selling.
