My poor mum in Lockdown was having to retune this morning. Between you and face-calling she is,now re-tuned and calm again! This was an absolute Godsend even though her menus looked slightly different to yours. Thankyou so much.

Thanks for your instructions which I used as my TV and freeview box have stopped getting many channels including BBC1 and BBC 2. I followed the very helpful instructions as far as DVB tuning but I couldn't do a retune as the instruction was not available as it was very dim on the screen. Any ideas?
Very clear instructions. Does this apply if I’ve shipped my Panasonic TV to another part of the world? Before I used to get viera options with apps now it doesn’t come up. I’m trying to figure out if I need to change the region on my tv setting
Yes you will normally need to change the country it is in first then the region. You may find that the tuner may not work though if you move it to a different country
This was excellent but one question. If I do this will it affect my freeview box as I can watch TV through my box but all my channels died on the TV last week but finally got my channels on freeview.
Hi, thanks for really clear instructions. We have a Panasonic TX-49FX740B t.v. We had two remote controls the one you were using plus another smaller one , the smaller one has gone missing, it’s used to get onto the Internet whereby we can get Amazon Prime. I would like to know how you change channels from 1 to 10 if you ever say channel on 36 how do you put a number 5 or Channel on 16 how do you put it on 18 ok thank you you
Useful but problem I have is old Panasonic TV in bedroom no longer gets my Sky TV connection. Prior to retuning, channel 901 connected me to my Sky programmes. Retuning, as was requested, has lost this link and cannot find how to get it back. Have aerial system that links a number of TV's in the house so that Sky can be received on any of them. Others still okay, just retuned one no longer connecting and former channel 901 non existent. Any help appreciated.
I have virgin as my provider and am thinking of getting rid of their service as its becoming too expensive for me. If I return to the Panasonic and try it out, would I be able to retune it back again if I wasn't happy with the limited service that Panasonic gives me. Having said all that, I'm no aware of what exactly I can do on my Panasonic - its about 5 years old. I;d be grateful for some advice please.
virgin media is the worst isp on earth and the virgin mobile has got to be also the worst on earth the only thing its good for is HOME PHONE WOW!! they sell all your private stuff like banks pay pal etc when you open your web page what does it give you just a page of crap its got a great mail page so all your paying for is home phone and mail page NOTHING ELSE
I have been trying too do a tune on a Panasonic 700B which I bought 2017/18. On the signal quality it shows nothing (4.26 of this video) but on the manual tune it shows 95% but can’t tune any channel. I was also wondering why it stays on CH21 when from what I have read my area is CH23 and so on. I have used the outdoor antenna and bought two indoor ones, one of the indoor ones got me shopping channels.
I would always recommend trying to use an outdoor aerial for the best reception. Do you know the aerial is working ok, as normally it will only show no signal quality if there is an issue with the aerial or cabling.
i accidentally pressed the input (TV) and i have the exact same remote like yours (so the button is on the top) and it brings me to a black screen that say “ Please scan channels!” and now i cant go out from that black screen anymore :( i’ve pressed return and exit multiple times but they’re still stuck. so am i supposed to do this method to get it back to normal ? please help :(((
Hi, I bought a new antenna for Digital TV and connected, I did all the steps but not found any channels. I checked my new antenna in another tv and works, I set up my tv to shipping like new and still not found any channel. Please let know if you have ny idea TC-42AS610H. Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately newer tv's need a good quality signal so if you are using a portable aerial then it probably won't work. The tv really needs to be connected to a main rooftop aerial to get a picture.
Am trying to retune elderly parents tv. Press menu and settings but nothing is coming up about dvd tunings or freeview, so am getting no further than settings
Hi I’ve followed your excellent procedures but one problem - there is not a DVB option for tuning the channels!! I have a 50 inch Panasonic Smart TV - 2 years old. Help!,
Before you try retuning the tv, press the TV button on your remote control and hopefully it should enable the DVB option. If you cannot see the DVB option after pressing the TV button, you may need to go into the settings and enable the DVB option as it may have been accidently turned off. I assume you have had the option of DVB on the tv beforehand.
Couple of things to check. The frst is that the aerial is plugged into the tv. The second is that the tv is on DVB and not analogue. Press the TV button on the remote to check this. Good luck
You should be able to tune the recorder from the recorder itself, you will only be able to tune the tv from the tv handset. This is normally done through the menu, then look for the tuning options and from there it will give you the option to tune the tv
@@lords-electrical I have found a universal remote that I bought & I found universal remote codes for the tv and I have managed to get the tv working thanks if you ever need help please let me know...if try my best as well
@@Lynnbikechick Ik this is late but when u go behind the tv u can 6-7 button do the middle won then hold it and go on menu and go up by using the button and boom
It will normally be an issue with the aerial or the socket behind the tv. I know it sounds sill but make sure the aerial lead is plugged into the tv as sometimes they fall out.
I have always had Panasonic tv's, amps, cd players, blu ray player and set top box. I will never buy Panasonic again. The latest tv I have bought is a nightmare. It is going back in its box. We will get the other one repaired.😡
