i want to learn to do this for my boyfriend. this looks easy enough. i will come back and rewatch a few times before i lay hands on his hair. thank you for the vid!
Best tutorial ever! Did my mans wash and retwist Sunday night. Took me exactly 3 hours, I'm sure I'll get a little faster but this was my first time ever even attempting it. It came out great and he's happy with it. Most importantly, he is no longer talking about cutting his beautiful, almost to the middle of his back length locs off. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for helping me achieve a beautiful retwist on myself. I followed all instructions except I used a different gel (lock booster), and plam rolled instead of locksmith cause idk how even with all the tutorials lol. The big clips makes huge difference and cut my retwist time down. Also parting first, then reparting with gel made a difference too. Thank you for teaching all the techniques. Especially “twist to the right” made it so much easier to remember. Forever grateful. Saved me money and time ❤❤❤
I really like how u simplified this! I thought I'd have to use a ton of clips because that's what someone told me, but I felt that they would get in the way too much. I think I'm going to try to do my son's retwist today for the 1st time using this method. Thank u!
I absolutely LOVE how you instruct. I’ve had my locs for 4 years and I am not a big fan of doing it myself because my hair is long (a little past shoulder length) and it never comes out right in my opinion cuz my arms get tired!!!! But this video encouraged me to keep trying lol
Now I feel confident in doing my boyfriends hair. Because he's been asking and I really havent wanted to lol but I can do them now that I know what products and how easy it is.
Thank you so much for your content! I did my sons hair today and whew Chile lol it's a process but I did it 😂 and the large clamps defiantly worked I stopped in the mid of his hair and ran and got them 😂 cause I ain't got time for the small ones lol
I have been doing a bit of research for retwisting locs so I can help my son do his hair. This video is very helpful! I absolutely love that you break down and thoroughly explain your process as you go along. Could you recommend any affordable products I can use to help keep his locs and scalp moisturized ?
What if I don’t have the heater thing? My boyfriend says I can practice retwisting on him but I don’t want to be spending so much $ on the dryer thing.
That's awesome that you'll be able to do the retwists and now he can pay you instead of a stylist. I was so tired of paying someone to do my daughter's hair
Yes thank you! I did a re twist on a friends hair about to again. And my biggest concern was getting clean parts but didn't want to take hair out of a loc.
Your video is very helpful I really want to help my BF with his dreads but I have no experience at all. But this gives me hope 😅. So he have to wash his hair first right?
Depends on the style. With two strands I twist along the way and I blow dry it for 5 minutes after, but the two strands keep the retwist together so sitting under a dryer for 20 minutes isn’t needed. For barrels I’ll let it dry first then style. I will make a video on it good question
My boyfriend wants me to do his hair, and I've never done dreads before. What would you recommend for a dread that's split in two towards the end? I've seen videos that crochet them together, but am worried about it being thicker than the rest of his dreads or causing breakage. It's also too thin towards the root to split and make two.
This video was great! And Idk if anyone can answer this but can you let them air dry afterwards or is it best to blow dry and/or put them under the dryer?
Hopefully my daughter's hair will stay in place while doing this method. She's so tender headed w/ thick hair and the interlocking method she doesn't like.😕
