Thank you for the insight. I definitely need the Chem Peel. I worked various manual labor jobs since 21. I wear sunscreen, I work roofing Now....so I wear a full face covering and head covering. SPF 50 or 80 Sunscreen. Colegen treatments....live in Florida as well. Go figure. Lol Thanks for the informative presentation. Learned from it.
Can these methods such as a chemical peel, etc restore the original colour of the pigmentation or make it closer to the colour of the pigmentation originally?
It truly depends on the extent of the damage! If you start treating sun damage closer to when it happens, you'll have a higher chance of getting back to that original pigment! But if we're talking years down the road with lots of sun damage, there's no guarantee of getting back to the original pigment-though you'll be MUCH closer and your skin will be healthier! Protecting your skin against direct and excessive sun damage can potentially reduce the risk of getting skin cancer, but these methods can't reduce or counteract skin cancer if one already has it. Apply SPF every day and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun to avoid damaging your skin.
