You are God sent brother. I followed your instruction one by one and it worked perfectly. on first attempt .No more humming annoying sound. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I bought every single harness and adapter and nothing worked. This video solved the problem. Thank you so much. One thing, how did you wire the steering wheel controls?
Thank you for your positive feedback. The steering wheel connector plugs directly into the car's female connector. It's a 20 pin connector with just 3 wires on it.
I tried this on my Camry 06 SE V6 with JBL amp. Even though this setup significantly reduces the background noise, unfortunately in my case some portion of the noise is still present. Before I used Pipeman's BC-NR12 noise suppressors (2 pieces) on my battery and amp on lines, it gave the same effect with removing most of the noise, but still not all the noise. I guess my stereo is bad or something, but pins of the android stereo match those on the video, only in a different order. Update: Actually I missed that it was possible to tune impedance with this device, now after I tuned it the noise is 99% gone, I can remove even 100% of the noise, but then the volume will be very low. I call it a success after so much frustration ! Thank you man, this is awesome ! Thanks for your advice in replies under this comment, I might try this too at some point.
I understand your frustration when it comes to removing noise from JBL amp. You a ground loop noise. Along with the setup you have now, buy and add this device to it amzn.to/3N37oK1
This PAC SNI-1 noise isolator. I have recommended it to people after converting high audio signal to low signal with LOC for JBL amp. It further removes noise.
@@eazidiy awesome advice, thank you so much and God bless you ! Please check my updated comment above, I think it's pretty much solved, but will keep this additional solution in mind. Do I need 2 of these devices for 4 RCA channels?
Thank you for this video it was super helpful!! So you didn't have to use the line output. You could have used the RCA's off of the head unit directly into the metra harness.
@@eazidiy you can because I am doing it right now. I de-pinned the android unit and pined it in the metra harness. I have a picture but not sure how to post it here.
@DJTJ13 Yes, I know how to de-pin, but I wanted to show the raw connection. Not all radio harness have that option. Thanks for your positive contribution 🙏🏾
I've been suffering with this issue for about 2 months and the Ali Express seller has ghosted me, you're the first person I've found to seem to have the answer to my issue. I ordered the Line Output Converter and JBL Harness from your link on this video. Am gonna be working on it this weekend, is it possible for you to send me a copy of wiring diagram you have in the video?
Thank you for your help here. There's no reason an old car can't have a new radio! New life... I did follow all connections into the recommended harnesses and I did get rid of the audio noise but my volume is still sky high. Level one is way too loud. It seems the audio was not stepped down. Is it possible it needs to be more stepped down. Like 80%? I am about to give up and take it to a radio installer but would feel great to be able to accomplish this myself.
thanks bro your instructions vedio it is very helpful me remove humming sound. but still small sound coming [like źzzzz] . i didn't connect the brown and black wire. because after both are connect sound is little be very high. can you advise me how to sloven it. My vehicle is 2007 toyota higlander limited
Great video. Thank you for posting. Am I correct that you did not use the can bus at all? Do your steering wheel controls work? Also, Pins 4 & 11 in the 16 pin android radio harness are marked SWC 1 & SWC 2 on your diagram. Are those connected to anything? Thanks again.
@@eazidiy Thank you sir. I see where you left that connector on around the 3 minute mark in the video. It looks like those are pins 1 (gnd), 4 (SWC 1), and 11 (SWC 2) that go to the 20 pin plug.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. By the way, can you share the wiring diagram since the previous owner of my vehicle has been modified already. Thank in advance.
@eazidiy, I bought the AX-MLOC740 but I'm still getting a static/clicking noise in my speakers. I bought 2 PAC SNI-1 and connected them; however, the noise remains. Please note that I did not have to attach the brown wires to the shielded ground wire as sound was coming through without doing that. Do I need to try a different version of the AX-MLOC? Perhaps the 745?
I struggle a lot too. The audio level from converter box was so low. On my bench, I feed to my home theater and sounds is loud enough. Well, I didn't do Amp on to converter box, but I do tied amp on to V-ACC at the metra similar harness. I'll try tomorrow with tying amp on of metra and converter box together...Hope it works. Thanks
@@eazidiy I got it to work finally thanks to your diagram. 1st problem was I couldn't get the JBL amp to turn on. I bought a cheap cable harness, about 10$, before I got your wiring for Metra connector. That connector doesn't have pin 3 - Amp on - and pin 16 - Signal Gnd. There're other unused wires on that connector, but I don't have tool to move them to pin 3 and pin 16, so I have to tap to the car wiring...that's undesirable. And I bought a signal converter which is defective? because amp -on produces only 2.8V, not 12V, so unable to turn on my highlander amp. So no sound. I bought AX4LC4M-150. What I did a bit different from the wiring provided is that I use Amp on from my Atoto S8 to power the AX4LC. That way, my Atoto turns on AX4LC which in turn turn on the JBL only after my Atoto is on. Thanks a lot. Your video and diagram is a great help!
Hey. Thank you for the instructions! I've connected all wires - all works, but there's still some white noise for video playback from RU-vid and music. Will these two PAC SNI-1s help me? Should output from PAC SNI-1 go to LOC or metra?
@@eazidiy So, there is no result after connecting 2 PAC SNI-1. The exact same amount of white noise and interference as without them. Maybe I've missed something, or they are both defective, or the issue with the head unit - mine is a bit different from yours)
@IdiesBlancNeige Sorry to hear that you are still experiencing the same problem. Try this link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RIZTZE_6_eg.htmlsi=mt9qRsH_N6v1yhJW
Hi will this work on my 2018 tacoma with jbl premium system. What I now is working except that when I try to use the sound in the rear only There is no sound. When I have it partially back to front it works pretty well. Also what are you using for other functions like steering wheel controls, phone, gps ,back up camera etc.? Thanks
Will this wiring work for my 2002 Toyota Camry LE V6 vehicle with jbl original radio that I am trying to replace with same radio as yours but giving me the same noise over whatever is played on the radio.
I installed my system with harnesses the seller gave me and it all is working except all of the speakers in my car are treated as front speakers. So the fader function doesn’t work. If I put the fader to the rear I get no sound. Will this fix the issue?
The harness the seller gave you has 2 RCA cables for audio? That is 2 channels ( front speakers only). You need to convert to 4 channels ( front and rear Speakers). The process will work for you as long it is 2001-2007 Highlander with JBL
I strongly recommend Axxess AX-MLOC740 LOC with reference wire. There has been a lot of mixed reactions with people who used LOC different from Axxess.
Hi brother, I have connected all the wires as you mentioned but I’m still not getting any audio sound. What would be the case here ? Appreciate your help on this matter. Thanks, Dilip

No, the wiring for the 2nd generation highlander is different. You need to find the right wiring diagram for 2010 highlander. Use the link in the description box to check the wiring diagram for your specific car.
I bought an aftermarket car stereo (atoto s8 premium) and it looks like my highlander only has the 20 pin (cn701) for the factory stereo cable, and it doesn't have a negative wires for speakers?!? Can you help me?
Yes, because your highlander has a JBL amp. You will need to buy line output converter and Metra harness 70-8113. and make connections with your android headunit.
If you have a 20 pin harness in yout highlander, it means you have a Amp. Pin 10 is reference ground and Pin 20 is ground chasis. What year of Highlander is yours?
Yes. When I look online, I see a lot of the backs that don't have 16 pin configuration on the back of yours. I've seen a couple that do and they have the fuse on the side rather than the bottom. I have 02 with the JBL system. Sadly the existing radio is dead.
Sorry to be so dense. I see links for your store, the loc, Metra Harness, Axxess, android harness, wiring diagram, pin out guides, but nothing to aliexpress. Again, sorry to be a dunce.
