Hello there lovely people! Today I wanted to show you how to get a perfect prism with the new system. It will take a lot of tries but the power that this system offers is unparalleled so better get grinding :D
Great info, although a small addition... According to a the developers (see The Prism System news post on Steam) fusions cannot appear until you have both material pieces to +5. So you should focus on getting both pieces to +5 once you have both on your prism to maximize your chances of a early fusion and keep your prism lvl as low as possible during the process.
however, if you slot all 5 of the fragments that you feed, their likelihood overpowers the the chance to get a combined fragment, and you will need to jump to getting 10 on multiple of them anyways. Source: I was suffering until I found this video, which gave me a clear understanding of how to fix my issue.
According to the dev post about the Prism system to get a fusion you just need two fragments at +5, and then it's guaranteed to drop. They also specifically point out that any levels past +5 are wasted.
thing is, if you feed the fragments and get them all to slot, they like to overpower even the chance for a combined fragment, you will probably have to get full 10s up until you get to that last combination and it gives you the third option.
@@ery Ngl I'm trying to get into it. But so far this Prism bs has kinda put me off the game. If you don't have thousands of Relic Dust stockpiled up then you're shi outta luck
It's a little bit of a bummer that there are so few fusion combinations. I was kind of hoping that the prism would enable hybrid builds that didn't work before, like Gun/Mod or Skill/Melee. It seems that the only hybrid builds the devs want us playing is Skill/Mod or Ranged/Melee.
Yeah and on top of that there is one that reduces the charge time and reduces heat buildup. There is only one weapon that can use it and that's corrupted cube gun which is hardly a popular weapon
@@trainedorphan9640the first shot is considered a charge (and can be used with Closed Loop) though subsequent shots aren’t You can just ‘tap’ fire to make every shot a charge at the cost of a slightly slower fire-rate.
I feel like you're looking at the combinations wrong. you can still get Skill/Melee, but they will want to be fused with their own other fusions. Maybe not the penultimate combination of 9 fragments, but there is still some room to make things somewhat powerful.
@@Mr-Nacho420turn clock ahead an hour in game...quit out to menu...go back in and copy top symbols....turn clock back to normal time...quit out through options...go back in...enter code below...boom
@Mr-Nacho420 if you haven't already, the solution is to look at the code and roll your devices clock back one hour. The code shown is the code for the last hour.
Awesome info! Breaks down very easily. Still not in love with the insane RNG for legendaries but what can you do. Is boss rush the most efficient farm method right now?
Thanks! I am also not a fan of how hard it is to obtain and how RNG heavy it is but I cant change that. The most efficient way is the 19 boss bossrush run. If you do it then you are like 1/3 way there I think.
@@NightDemon115 you do get a fair xp multiplier from the difficulty but be personally. I would do the easier difficulty just for comfort and consistency. But if you are extremely confident in your build then take advantage of the bonus difficulty points
Great review! 😃 I thought it was gonna take a while before i could see the list of all fusions. I cant belive it 😮 We are not even 24 hours past the launch of the DLC and we got it. You are the first one who uploaded this info i guess. I have some questions if i may. Do you have the list of all legendary powers? Is there a limit of experience a prism can hold before i start upgrading it? Or i can collect xp in one go for all 50 levels and then upgrade it? Is there a differece between prisms? You have 3 of them i belive so far. How did you get the third one? I mean you get one when you start and you can buy one from Dwell. Thank you for a great breakdown! It is awesome! 🤗🙏
Thanks I appreciate it. So it seems like there are different prisms with different inclinations towards legendary powers but this has to be yet confirmed. You can store a lot of XP on a prism but it's not enough if you want to do the fusions you will have to keep revisiting it like I did in the video. And if you want to see all legendary powers go to remnant 2 toolkit website and click on create new build. There you will be able to select all legendary powers and see what they do!
what are you doing to grind xp? I don't think apoc is the best difficulty for boss rush cuz I only got a 15% difficulty multiplier xp bonus which is not much for how much longer it takes to kill bosses
Dont use any materials, just level up a prism and you can pick a fragment between 3 randomly. You can buy a prism at the pan vendor or farm it on the new mode boss rush. The fragments drops just playing and killing elites or open chests randomly or you can buy them on the pan vendor for relic dust.
Just as @carlesgt93 said all you need is relic dust for relic fragments to feed to the prism. Other than that it requires XP (a ton of XP) to level up :)
The best way for now is to spam the hardest mode on boss rush as it gives about 100k XP and you need about 600-700k to fully level the prism with the fusions. Without fusions it's about 300k XP.
Super informative and helpful video! Just curious, but about how much in-game time did it take you to go from resetting that fragment in the video, to the new one being fully leveled up with the max fusions and legendary fragment? including the grinding time of course?
That takes a ton of XP and I am not entirely sure how long it is but boss rush is the best way to do it so far. If you can slot in sage ring the yellow tonic and the scholar trait it goes by faster but you sacrifice a lot of damage or survivability for it. Best to play in group too!
you have a "melee speed" and "melee attack speed" mod in your list which sounds these are two different mods, but there is only one single "total melee speed" fragment
One from Dwell, one from cass, one from the guy up in the crane that sells archetypes, one or two from bossrush. Not much info on it unfortunately but it will become clearer in the coming days I hope
@@Mr-Nacho420 How many times did you do it when you cut the video to go do the boss rush? Did you do it once and get all that? Cus that’s CRAZY amounts of xp
@@Mr-Nacho420 thank you very much ! You earned a new sub . I got to level 51 last night and my legendary was allowing me to use secondary archetype on my prime perk which I didn’t like so I reset it
That is probably because its not level 51. You can only cleanse it when it is fully upgraded. That is very stupid mechanic but we cant do anything about it.
How do you know which ones combine? Also is anything lost upon resetting a prism or do you get all of that xp back? Any downside to resetting one? Edit, nevermind about the first question I completely missed the chart at the beginning, I thought there might've been some way to tell which ones fused
@@Mr-Nacho420 Thanks, super interesting how people figure this out so fast. Surely datamining? And I was a bit worried about all the dialogue choices for creating prisms, that things cannot be reverted, but then I realized prisms are loadout specific. Very nice
@@Mr-Nacho420 If (at 11:00) you do not get weapon ideal range, would you have to just restart this entire process, or would there actually be XP / fragments that are lost as a result?
@@blazex224 you'd have to finish the broken prism to level 51 to be able to cleanse it and try again. Or you could just abandon it and try on a different one
Unfortunate that this is pretty much only for a no life playstyle, which i love remnant, but this sounds like way too much farming. Aside from xp farming, you need relic dust, and it looks like its gonna take hundrends of thousands if not millions to feed mythic fragments. Like cool system, but way too much time wasting. It would be cool if there was ways to negate the rng and just get what you want. Like a specific difficult boss or dungeon or something. Good video though, useful info.
@@Mr-Nacho420 hey man, I'm wondering if you could help me with some more info. What's the best way to get relic dust? How do you farm it? I'd like to start working on a prism.
@@Mr-Nacho420 Good point, taking dmg isn't really a concern of mine after 1500 hours but 25% more dmg or even 55% definitely isn't worth the sacrifice if you have the other options available.
Great breakdown. Thanks alot for this. Finally can understand it even tho ill probably wont grind this out. Theres some op builds even without this i think
I change my game mode to apocalypse and buy it from dwell with relic dust.. easiest as long as you have x amout of your archetypes = certain total level.
Another good way that I’ve found is to do the Yaesha farm on Apoc with Explorer as main arch. Spawn into red throne, open the chests in that beginning area (don’t even need to see the queen) and rinse and repeat. It’s repetitive for sure but more of a laid back approach when relic dust is tight
So, im just gonna ask this here: When i got the warden archetype i noticed that wallace had 1 more question mark item. Anybody know what that is? I got every archetype, relic maxed out. Edit: its the jealousy prism.
followed step by step and got the same roll minus the evade speed and instead of "ranged damage 75%" legendary i got "all damage dealt and recieved increased 100%". ive never been so happy yet stressed tf out in my entire life😭 Thank you so much for this guide i refused to even touch this system till now! welp now i gotta go replace all the fragments i burned but well worth it. whole thing was almost screwed when i got 2 blue rolls out of 3 last one happened to be the red SHEESH!
So what you should have done, is left the fusions as low level as possible. Leveled up the ones that were not fused to level 5 so you can fuse them, and once you have open slots, if you don't get the new one you need, then at least the fusions are IN the que to be possible choices to level up, so essentially a reroll for the one your missing.
Mr Nacho rolling the legendary perk he was looking for, and then mousing over the two bad ones, and I was like... 🙈🙈🙈 don't accidentally left click your mouse my dude!
What's the most efficient way to level prisms? Is the higher difficulty multiplier worth it? Or is doing the 19 boss gauntlet vs trial by fire the best?
19 boss gauntlets on Apocalypse is the best but only if you can do it reasonably fast. If for example you can do 2 survivor ones then it is tough to say.
Are you certain those are all the combinations? As an engineer heavy weapon main I'm pretty pissed that they just completely overlooked this build type despite making the system so complicated
Great guide, I kinda wish you shown the difference in damage on the test dummies without and then with the prism. (I know its high but seeing those rolls in action would have been nice!)
The one thing I'd probably suggest for everyone: Make 1 ranged, 1 mod/status, 1 skill, and 1 support. This way when you make a build you always have these on-hand
@@Mr-Nacho420 heck I've ran it faithfully through good and bad times on rem 1 and 2 , favorite gun, all I honestly want out of the prism system is enough reload to not use a ring slot lol
Yeah you need to get them back. One way is to just buy from Dwell if you have enough relic dust. If not then doing boss rush rewards you with a lot of those too!
@@Mr-Nacho420 Ya it seems like playing boss rush on veteran with a nice dps build isthe best way imo. the difficulty multiplier just isnt enough for any added time it tacks on. Though in a group that may be different, Ive just been running it solo with a easy archon build
What is the best way to fast level your prism? He mentioned boss rush but I the 19 boss version on veteran and only got like 4 levels. Is all the xp buff stuff applicable as well?
@@Mr-Nacho420 thanks for the reply. It seemed like you only get XP at the end or did it seem to affect the total gains if you had the buffs running the whole time? Also, does being in a party buff XP gains or just speed of clear?
@@deadcell9900 I think it just speeds up the clear but it can be a real challenge so if you go down then your party member can pick you up instead of instant loss
How do you just click the prism to level it up at 5:15? I have to feed the prism fragments to get xp for it until it reaches the peak. Takes me like 15+ frags after level 14 to get it to the next level
@@PalpyRNG A lot. Honestly I found out that doing it on apoc is about 115k xp and survivor is 95k so its much easier and faster to do it on survivor with one person for aoe mobs and one person with single target for bosses. So far there is no better way.
@@Mr-Nacho420 Okay thank you so much!! I thought that you were doing it like 2 times on Apo and getting 10lvls+ every time. Thank you for letting people know
decent video, I only skimmed it not sure where you get the 'exp' but if I am correct you have to go kill mobs to be able to level prism, this is nonsense, grind like an idiot in the boring game that we already explored through and trough only to waste said crafting materials, potentially lose it and on top of that farm exp to upgrade prism...hell no, devs are incompetent, this needs content not more grindy garbage
Yeah you need XP to level up prism and a ton of it too. A lot of people feel like its too much RNG so they mentioned that maybe they will add a way to reroll a legendary power only without messing up the prism itself.
Very helpful thank you! But how can you reroll it so many times and get it to top lvl again, the dlc been out for a few days only! How can you get so much xp in just a few days!!??
Managed to get your 4 fusions plus movement speed on my first proper prism im dreading what the legendary will be thou 😢😅😅 i feel like 19 survivor is the fastest way i get 95k in around 48-55 mins
Any suggestions for relic dust? I blew it all getting my fragments to mythic before the patch. I levled all clases to max except warden don't have it yet.
Awesome Informative Explanation mate! Here's a thought that occured to me. What if you *(and I know people prob gonna dislike the idea, as it destroys the rng thing)* just before you hit lvl 51 *(And by that I mean, to make sure you are still lvl 50, and only need a fraction of xp, to hit lvl 51)* , you back up your save file. Feed prism to get lvl 51, and check the legendary prism buffs. Ye don't like it, restore backed up save file, and feed again, to see if you got the desired legendary. I'm pretty sure once you hit lvl 51, it will *safe* the 3 legendary prism buffs for the choice into the save file to prevent this exact idea of overcoming rng god by backing up save files. So to overcome THAT, you simply make sure you are missing a fraction of xp, before hitting lvl 51 for the legendary prisms to roll into the save file. At the very worst, they'll probably just save the 3 legendary prisms at lvl 0, to prevent overcoming the rng gods when backing up save files. Hope that ain't the case tho. Just pointing that out, because there's over. 40. legendary. prisms. According to the devs. And you only get to choose 3 of 'em. So to me, that sounds like a reeaaally low chance to get what you want for the amount of grinds you need to do. Like you displayed, that's a REALLY BIG grind especially with the 4 fusion prisms. Haven't gotten to test it yet, as I myself got to reach lvl 50->51. That's the kind of rng that would fit an mmo, not an action rpg soulslike. But yea, great breakdown!
So I’m guessing that it doesn’t actually matter what prism you use for leveling right? As in different prisms are essentially “loadouts” for you to craft for x build?
Kinda frustrating to see so little skill support. Been really enjoying skill spam builds, but I don't need that tied up into mod bonuses. Was hoping to have a fusion of related things, like skill damage/cooldown or something. Seems like you really need to have the table available because many of these combos aren't intuitive.
How complicated do you want to make a system? Yes. Jesus christ. Thanks for the great info, I'll get into it once I reach endgame - i'm guessing it needs a lot of mats.
The mats are the smallest problem in this situation. The thing you need the most is XP so Id recommend just equipping the prism without upgrading it so it stores the XP
@@Mr-Nacho420 oohh I see. Do prisims drop randomly too or do I only buy them from Dwell? When I checked yesterday I still miss quite a few relict dust to buy one.
