The main problem with the method of "crop region rotation" is that it is hard to match the same rotation (and position) of the crop region in different views. A much better and more efficient method is to use scope boxes to control the cropping and framing of the view while being able to reproduce it to all other views that might be concerned. Another problem with the rotation of the crop region is that is a little counter-intuitive since it rotates the plan the opposite direction of the rotation. Nevertheless, it is nice to make a tutorial about a feature like the crop region rotation that most of the people ignore. Thanks. (I know you have a nice tutorial about scope boxes !)
As always Melos, you are a star!! But wish to add my voice to that of aghispangalos below about using the Scope Box method too that seems to affords the functionality of rotating all views at once wholesale which I have not tried yet!. So my next port of call is to visit your Scope Box tutorial! On my part I will be aiming to try both methods and compare the functionalities of each
Hi. How do you draw and the align the building on that site plan. I have tried what you done in the video but either my building constraints are effected and my building is distorted or the who siteplan just rotates with my building design. Please help
what if I want to draw first the property lines oriented to true north or according to bearings then orienting my project north? coz my elevation target gets rotated too
This was great except you didn't explain why you might want to rotate project north (e.g. if your drafter drew the plans with south at the top of the page instead of north and you want to correct that globally) and what rotating project north might impact.
Your different level plans are in different directions then the whole building will get orientation in which direction in the 3d view ??? I think you had to show the 3d view once
Balkan, you mention rotating True North, and spend time rotating a views crop region, but you skipped over Rotating the Project North which would affect all views, not just a single view.
Hi all, Great help, I wondered if someone could help me with this...? I have "True North" and "Project North" in some views. But one of the plans I have appears to be frozen. e.g. I cannot change the visibility graphics. it is all greyed out. I have other plans. But I cannot find anything simple like a padlock. Thanks Si
Hello sir, I have a query and would be of great help if you can provide your solution. Often when working with Point cloud in Revit, the point cloud when inserted is outside 30000 and revit does not display these points cloud...is there is way to deal with this in an efficient manner?
