Thank you. I've been struggling with trying to reconcile Kontakts unassigned outputs to my interfaces virtual channels through Komplete Kontrol as stand alone applications. After working through your workflow, I see the assignments are made in the host DAW.
Thanks for this, do you know how to get more that 4 stereo out? I can do the 4 Aux when I assign output 15-16 in Kontakt it comes in Unassigned 5-6 in Ableton but I can only select one channel.
@@DizzyJerk Yes I understand but but once you've used the first 4 aux in Ableton "Audio from" there are no stereo ones. It's also confusing since you assign a patch to Output 1-2 in K and you have to select KT-aux1-Kontakt in Ableton (not the same as Kontakt Aux1). Not sure why it shows up like that in Ableton
I think I found the issue. After you create new outputs you save it as default VST outputs. Delete the Kontakt instance and recreate a new one. Then the outputs Ableton since from the Kontakt plug-ins are updated.
Hey there! Super useful video! Just one question and excuse me for my lack of technical lenguage and if I'm missing something basic... I have an instrument named Spotlight Piano and I see no way of routing it from Kontakt (I use Ableton Live 11), doesn't appear to have that upper window to select where it could be routed inside MIDI channels... it only appears the name of the instrument and nothing else... is there any way to route it or any practical solution for it? Thanks in advance!
