This is a great explanation of the slouched rowing posture. But my favorite tip is still the carrot. I started watching your videos 3 years ago. You talked technique with an imaginary carrot up the backside. I had to pause the video because I was laughing so hard, but I realized the my posture was slouched and my hips tucked under. I straightened up and immediately noticed a difference in rowing. It took a few more rows for my core muscles to strengthen after that, but it was a huge difference in rowing.
This was helpful. I'm having a hard time straightening my back since I have really bad rounded shoulders and a little of a hunched back from heavy computer use, but I suppose it will get better as I get more limber.
It's a great tip. Although sitting here trying a "Proud chest" I feel I want to go backwards. And as the other half of this video is about maintaining the forwards tilt, I want to make sure my center of gravity is forwards at the drive.
@@rowalong can't explain, what I exactly mean, without a clip. Btw, was rowing as pupil and student and returned to a Concept2, installed in my home-gym used by my wife an me myself. Enjoy your clips. Thanks and kr from Vienna (AT).
