Imagine how INFURIATING these stereotypes are when they're thrown at you and YOU ARE FROM SWITZERLAND (the french-speaking part) (or Belgium, for that matter, I know they get it a lot too). All the freaking time. People : language and country are two very, very different things. Also usually little countries/regions DO NOT LIKE being mishmashed/confused with their big neighbourgh. Just don't do that. Very rude.

Exceptional architecture, insane history, great art, the best restaurants, high class fashion, an infinite number of museums and places to visit...

@@HommeAuCigare Much more interesting monuments all over France (Reims, Mont St Michel, Palaces of the Loire...). History, art, museum, shows, fashion, yes. Food is much better in Lyon and Bordeaux. Landscapes are much, much more beautiful anywhere else. But some people don't know to move.

@@satele.gaming I've lived in the US and I have been to England roughly 10 times in my life (friends and family living there), I can say that both have absolutely terrible food habits. Anyone that is mostly anglo-saxon from culture and that hasn't studied cooking alongside high class chefs should stay away from the kitchen.

I would say that being ignorant, culturally insensitive or rightout rude will be off-putting to anyone, no matter where they are from. For instance, I'm Dutch and I would be annoyed if my date would keep on going about how fantastic Amsterdam is, while I'm not from there. Of assume that we all smoke weed. Making fun of any accent is not very nice. The ketchup tip is handy, though.

Wine is alcohol and not everyone is into alcohol. Also, alcohol as a first date can be a "no" for women, like you don't really know the person, and if you are alone you wont be able to take your car or walk to come back home safe. And wine can be found in many food without the alcohol effect, so safe to eat. Perso im more of a wine food eater than a wine drinker.

That girl is perfect... And I live in Toulouse (not far from Perpignan). As usual, you did a tremendous work. All of that is true, although personally I'm not easily annoyed as I understand countries are perceived differently, and I do the same mistakes when talking to foreigner.

Aww when she said Perpignan I fan girled 😂 I was recently in the French/Spanish basque area (to see Lourdes with my fam on pilgrimage) and Southern France is amazing (the people are the sweetest too). My mom was sick on the weekend there and we were desperately looking for meds, it took a few angels to get us to the hôpital (with our Broken French and Spanish-English). ❤

Putting ketchup on your food is not the worst thing. it would be better if he put it on the side though. Talking with his mouth full was rude. She did not seem like a normal french person. She did not drink wine and was kind of odd. Plus the dude was British yet seemed a bit uncultured but at least he liked movies with sex scenes.
