Let's face it. Comedy comes from tragedy. Comedians are very smart, intelligent, wise human beings with a dark past. That's what makes them see things from a different angle.

If you can be this raw and real with another person, you can find lasting love. The two of us didn't meet until our 30s and have family and personal history that should have precluded our 20 year marriage. Yet here we are. Wishing happiness for you both too.

You're doing something real here in a way that many other comedians and talents aren't capable of. Keep pushing, you're hitting the main vein.

Sometimes we fall into relationships that are similar to those we grew up seeing. The familiar aspect of it can seem comforting. It's always good to reflect on our life and how we might have picked up unhealthy patterns and if you're ready to do the work it can be very empowering 💪❤

Please keep doing these. This was extremely helpful. Going through a divorce currently. And it's tough to see her going out with other women. But yet I also do the same. The attachment and attraction I feel when I know she's with me is immeasurable. But when we are apart. It hurts more. I hope that I am able to heal and like you said "now I have to learn to live with this again", when you mentioned ripping the bandaid off. Thank you Troy.

I used to hate myself and considered unaliving but to be honest I got really lucky and found my life partner very early and us living for each other gave me the time and perspective needed to love myself. There’s no easy way through the journey but if you keep searching you’ll find it eventually.

Interesting that a lot of ppl see those who don’t want to get married as “broken”, those ppl can be giving the best reasons but then ppl always wanna dig into their life because there HAS to be something that caused this. Getting married is a choice, not a must. Also, self-hatred surely has to be worked on by yourself, same as insecurity, or any issues you have, but no one ever said you cannot have some support/help and if your partner is strong, insightful and patient and they love you, and you want to work on yourself, you have enough self-reflection, it could actually happen that you will improve as a person. Some ppl chose to be with you for many reason and that means you deserve the love and support

Wow, that was so vulnerable. I don't know what to say because we always see Troy on stage laughing, making jokes and having fun. It made me sad to see that you had such feelings, but this sadness is not that kind of sadness. A sweet sorrow. It's sweet because being self-aware is getting closer to solving your problems. I believe you'll solve these things. You probably don't realize it, but you are actually a pretty mature and intelligent guy. I would love for you to overcome your self-hatred because believe me there are many people who will and do love you. Troy's on stage act is very volatile and incredibly spontaneous. It's easy to think that in private life he'd be the same way ... always wanting attention, always competing to best the other person, but this video is a revelation. He's thoughtful, restrained, sensitive and insightful. A very intelligent guy, and a rare combination of personal qualities. From attack dog to vulnerable and honest human. 👍👍

At the same time, I began to love my son so endlessly, more than I ever thought was possible for me to do, and started hating myself more than ever before, which is a tall order. So, now I'm stuck in this situation where the emotional pain of self hate is so heavy that, on some days, I'm seriously considering ending things. That being said, logically, I understand that my child needs me, and the love that I have for him keeps me going. I'd like to thank you, Troy, for making me laugh last night, when I found your channel, cause yesterday was one of those days. Wish you all the best.

It’s funny she says being alone is nice because she can be meditative and not worry about what her bf says s thinking, if he’s happy, is he f’n somebody else. I’ve been married/dating my wife for 11 years and I’ve always been in this meditative state lol. I don’t worry or stress over those things. We talk and work together and try to make each other happy but also make ourselves happy independently. We don’t have to do everything together, enjoy everything each other does, we can have friends and do things that make us happy. The key is to be honest and respectful and don’t lie or cheat. Simple af

i have found out that a runner is a perfect for another runner if they did bond together initially and found each other attractive. am a runner myself and keep myself coming back to my favorite person after the period of running away and spending me time is over.
