Home businesses are harder to run than community lot businesses as far as I'm concerned. Keeping the doors locked to your sims personal home is very important. I had a sim that had a home business; separate building from the house completely. Yet I still had sims that would walk all the way over the the family house, walk around, then come back and complain how filthy everything was because there was a dirty dish on the counter! And I just love sims that walk into the smallest possible business lot, then walk out into the yard and then start complaining they can't find anything. :/ Oh, you can't find any flowers? Well that's because you're outside! In the rain! The flowers are all in here! Of course, for that business (which is on the LIttle N Local lot so very small) even the ones that stay in the building and can't find what they need are humorous.
I wish the sims 4 restaurants ran like the sims 2 where people in the household can be the host, waiter and chef 😭 that’s like my one wish for the sims 4.
Two items that really help with running a retail store in SIms 2 are the hot tub and Snapdragon bouquets. Call a group of sims into a hot tub and they'll usually have friendly interactions. Surround them with the good version of the snapdragons and most of their motives will increase, and you'll also improve the environment. If you make good use of both, your customers will be much more inclined to buy things. Selling really expensive things (like cars) can make enormous profits.
I´ve never accomplished to have a huge, long-lasting business since it´s difficult to keep track of everything (plus the laziness), but this video reminded me to finally get it done. Great job!
So new romantic relationships increase customer loyalty? Now I suddenly want to have Don Lothario open a business where he seduces all his customers into buying things
I remember that open for business and university were my absolute favorites. Came back after YEARS and I'm so clueless that I had to search a video lol
My best retail store is a music store where I sell all the radios, synthesizers, and musical instruments. I created a stage at the back of the store with instruments that aren't for sale so my Sims can play for tips, which encourages my customers to try their hand at playing music, too. I reached level 10 years ago at that business but it runs itself and always turns a profit. I've transferred the ownership of the property from my first Sim to her husband, who passed it to their son before he died, and now the son has grown older and is about to hand it down to his daughter. Meanwhile, my employees never age!
Thank you, this has been greatly informative! I've been playing the sims for more than 10 years and just recently I decided to play with owning a business so great timing! ✨
Love how you could techncially run your own café by having a mixture of normal business (where you sell your own baked stuff) and a restaurant (where your sim come to sit down and order food)
OFB is one of my most favourite packs of all time. I absolutely love making my Sims home businesses 🥺 The Sims 3 and 4 business/retail packs haven’t even been close to just how good OFB was. I think it also introduced more music stations, including the New Wave channel (I think? 🤔)-which is the best music station hands down and no, you can’t change my mind on that 😂 Excellent guide by the way! Your tutorial/guide videos are always so clear and helpful! 🙏✨
I play sims 2 YEARS.(WITH ALL EXPANSION PACKS). I just tried out/found out that i can run a business 😂😂😂😂 i loved it so muchhhh!!! Why i didn't find this earlier???
If you would hire other sims you play from your neighborhood, would the money they earn be added to their household funds? Great video, yours always make me want to play the Sims 2!
I never played The Sims 2 in high school when it came out and I just recently got it. Thank you for your tips! Subbed for more content as very few people do sims 2 content! Thanks ma'am
Thanks. You are so helpful, very straightforward and essentials. I had been playing the sims ever since the sims 1 available in PS console then in PC. Recently I want to play the sims 2 again because I miss the sims 2 unique vibe. You remind me of everything that's good about it.
I just started playing again recently and wanted to try opening a business for my sim, which i haven't done before. Thank you for this, very informative!
One thing with restaurants that I didn't notice in the video is that the waiter you hire should have some body points. They will gain body points simply be serving customers but you run the risk of them dropping food over the customer and wasting the meal which can loose you a star. Lol the 'naked' sim there at 13:39 missing her clothing texture. That uniform glitch has 2 fixes. One on MTS and the other by Chris Hatch called BusinessUnifromFix I prefer CH's version which uses a different method to the one on MTS. I would add a link but RU-vid removes any post I try and add links to. :/
@@CozyPixels Looks like you have a repository outfit but are missing the needed age texture. Normally repo sets are reliant on the adult texture and then the teen and or elder draws from it.
I always loved this expansion. Still have Sims 2 on computer, I will have to try to start a business again. In 2021, only business I can start is in Sims!
alright! all there is left is a lets Play where Klau shows us how to run the business with actual game play :P maybe there is a challenge we can add to that? build up a business only with your family? or maybe an asylum business? THAT would be fun :3 Sul sul!
wow. that was a super informative video, thank you so much! i've been playing for almost 15 years now but only recently i've decided to actually try to run a successful business 😂
Awesome video, back in the day I use to struggle so much with this (didn't even know about the ticket machine ^_^')! Looking forward to giving it another shot thanks to your video. *thumbs up* indeed
thank you so much for this video! for some reason I've always had trouble with running businesses, always running out of money, getting negative stars from customers :( I've tried to look for tutorials before, but all of them were how to make a business, not how to run it! so again thank you for this video!
I discovered with running restaurants that assigned chef employees like to quit even if their moods are good. I don’t know if it’s a bug but I had to hire 3 different chefs because they all quit after a few hours.
i know its late i wanna know if its possible to sell paintings in the business or is it gonna be better to just outright sell the paintings the usual way.
I heard that choosing an outfit for an employee can change their entire face not just the make-up and make their eyes look "empty" as if their genetics was broken. There's a fix for that, but I think this bug is funny (and creepy) so I will leave it there.
Oh wow your Sims 2 game look a bit... cooler than ever. Are u using any mods? like UI mod that make it white? and the sims models look somehow high def?
Hi there! I just started playing a business today. Yes, you need a sign. It's gonna be a long rectangular sign and it's green. You can find it in buy mode with the three circles in a triangle shape. But if you can't find it that way, go to buy mode, choose a folder, find the folder that has the open for business logo, and look through the items there. Sul sul!
Hi Klau, I hope you are well. I was wondering where I could find the cc shown at 8:20 on the back wall please? It is a wooden sign with some flowers. It is so cute!
They are Eco Lifestyle conversions by autumn-rosesims you can find them here: autumn-rosesims.tumblr.com/post/623149450586734592/no-set-dressing-this-time-everything-in-the
This might be helpful. The one time I tried to run a business none of my employees worked no matter how much I paid them. I just chalked it up to the game AI being stupid. XD Also, why is your user interface white instead of blue? :O
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong if I send employees on break and they don't sit down, don't eat. Their plumb bob goes red then they quit? I have a bathroom, tv couch, fridge and microwave in breakroom
My Sims have 12 Crush and love they will help businesses because love and crush help popularity on your Sims. But make sure they didn't visit your shop and do romantic action that would be a problem especially if they do it in front of their husbands or your other girlfriend 😂 Popularity of your Sims can rise if you do interaction with other Sims in neighborhood on community lot 👍🏻
I have a hard time playing the sims even though I want to. I'm just so pressed for time and I can't be creative like I used to be. What do you guys do for this problem?
I just started to clean my Acer PCs and found Sims2 not sure Did want to open or not but it been almost a day that I am looking for kitchen appliances hope We can get them right before I delete them thanks
I tried having a home business with a baker.....I keep running out of money because I need to keep the sim alive. Might try a different business next time. 😊
@@CozyPixels thank you! My request would be: Best way to ease into each expansion pack. I grew up with the base game, but was able to get the ultimate edition through origin. Now I am overwhelmed with the content and would love to see any tips you have on using all the packs. Thank you 😊
Question if anyone can help It would be soooo appreciated!!! For some reason, I can hire someone with sales badges but I DONT have the option to assign a salesman, literally it is NOT there. What could be the cause of this??
Hello guys! Can anyone help me with a "bug" I'm having with OFB? The "bug" is the following: Everytime my sim goes to a Lot owned by him, his motives are reset, their values are set to be like when you have Just moved a sim you created in CAS to his home in the neighborhood... Do you guys have notice this happening in your games too? Is there a way to fix It? Thank you!
Hi! I am not 100% sure as I never had a Mac, but I found this thread after a bit of googling, maybe you will find some useful info in it: modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=530610
