I had an iRay RH25 and found it to be almost useless at distance. Upgraded to the skeetIRx and haven’t looked back. Still interested in the Nox18 as a thermal handheld
What do you say to the RH25 claims of 1375yd detection range / 200 yds identification range? Nox 18 looks to be by the numbers worse for detection, recognition and identification. I want to support American companies over China, but these apparent "underperforming" numbers give me pause. What has been your experience, compared to iRay testimonies? iray mh25 and rh25 both have very good videos demonstrating that awesome detection range. I'm trying to find videos where the nox18 is comparable or better. Thank you for making this video.
Both the RH25 and Nox18 use a 640 12 micron core. I have looked through both and find them very comparable. Some will debate that one edges out the other. However, those who say the RH25 is superior are biased and likely have not tested both optics in a fair comparison. As far as ID range, that is extremely subjective. I can ID coyotes and deer at 500+ yards with the Nox. Someone who has experience with either optics can ID objects at very far distances. The RH25 wins in versatility as it can be used as a clip-on and in features since it can record video. At the end of the day, do you need a clip on? If the answer is yes, the Nox is not the optic for you. However, if you want a dedicated scope or helmet mount and you want American manufacturing, quality, and support, N Vision wins. The quality of N Vision speaks for itself. Right now, Iray has features but lacks American optics quality.

Also, the unit lasts DOUBLE the time (8 hours) than the iray!!! And it comes with a USB-C (vs some usb v something-or-other. Do you do layaways or affirm?
