this kind of video remainds to think about engine life, now most all people forgot and using bikes very hard, rough, from time taking from showroom..😉😁😁
Run in not only helps engine, also tyres, brakes and the rider gets accoustomed to the new machine during this period. On the highways you have to vary the speed and take frequent breaks to help cool down the engine. Avoid high loads at all cost. No riding with pillion.☺
My friend had to travel back to his native when he got the new meteor he drove it around for 120kms in a day, would it damage the engine? He drove it very carefully shifting gears constantly and not going above 70kmph
@@Zabonwheels33 120kms is totally fine, if he made sure to keep changing gears, just next time ask him to stop after every 60-80 kms so that the bike can cool down... Our enemy is constant heat wearing down parts more than they should be
I try to cycle 5 cycles of normal petrol and then I top up with xp95 or shell premium. The change of petrol is good for the engine and also feels amazing in hand The first oil change happens at 500 kms
The same thing I did with my meteor 350 fireball red. It's totally true. My bike runs a bit better than my friend's bike who didn't do these things and pushed his bike hard
I just got my fireball black bike 2 days back after i travel 15kms only the engine is getting too hot would it get better over the period of time? Im not throttling it too much shifting gears properly and im avoiding pillion too
@@Zabonwheels33 yes that 100% gets better but right now try to NOT heat up the engine, meaning when it heats just let it cool down before you continue, try avoiding 15km rides in the city
Nope, I've ridden the bike for long rides, constantly stayed on 120 for minutes and I honestly didn't feel that it had any heattng issues. Sure, the bike does get hot, but considering its a 350cc engine, it's lesser than I expected.
You're right, 2000 km break in is what I followed, but most people don't have the patience to till then 😂 so at the least the first 500 km break in should definitely be done
Staying on the highway keeps the engine running at constant high pace for a long time which leads to unnecessary heating. The best way to run in is to vary engine speeds more and not let the engine heat up a lot
I have been carrying a pillion rider from day one. The bike is fine. Engine's nowadays are machined perfect and running in are just to get the engine well lubricated and flow of fuel, piston and chain as well as tyres. Just dont ride like a dare devil on the first 500km. RE is made like gun, right? Hahaha.. My 2 cents.
The bike would be fine even if it was abused since the beginning. A lot of people don't believe in breaking in like they don't believe in god 😂 Machines are built that way, yes. But there's nothing wrong in using them a tad bit sensitively as long as it doesn't harm convenience so much. But yeah! In the end, as long as you don't ride your bike like a daredevil in the first few days, it's going to be all good.
Hi bro. I'm still around 1300kms done. But my mileage is just 30kmpl. Will this improve after the run in period? Or should I get it checked? And I'm riding as per the run in speeds. I heard the mileage comes around 35 kmpl. I fuel up at Shell bunk. And I'm driving very economically.
It definitely improves after run in. Just make sure to apply the least amount of throttle, you'll get crazy mileage. I've done around 12500 kms and if i ride economically with less throttle in Bangalore I'm able to get 37ish kmpl (On Shell fuel). But my normal riding yields me 34ish kmpl. So its all about throttle play I'd say
@@StoryTeller420 That's what I wa afraid of. But actually, I have shifted to a different city which has much lesser congestions in Traffic, and my mileage has improved from 29 to 34 KMPL. So I'm going to just blame it on the traffic.
If you can post the list of what you said, I just can copy and paste, I think you must've written it somewhere, if not, no stress, I'll do that myself.
I didn't make a list tbh, but I can use my memory 😁 -Warm up bike every morning -No more than half throttle -Avoid pillions -Remember shifting speeds -Avoid highways, don't let the bike heat up, take constant breaks
@@SahibSrivastavathyshb If you can avoid a pillion till 500km, then it's really good. But if you can't also, it's not a big deal, just puts the engine under a little more pressure, which causes the engine to hear a little faster.
@@nischhalsharma6059 oh lol. I know one who sits behind me and it doesn't even feel I have a pillion lol. Though usually people sitting behind me can range from 60-80 kilos so let's see. But these are for any motorbikes right, or just Enfields?
Drive slowly till it is warmed up, then just drive normal without revving like an idiot and it will be fine. No need for this whole procedure. Avoid top speed and top revs, thats all. After 500km you can drive as usual.
😂😂 i also thought that when he said avoid highways i mean what do you want us to do with a bike the company is selling with the tag of a highway cruiser 😂
Bro i am facing very much problems with my bike Meteor 350, the service centre and customer service were also not responding... i want the replacement or refund of the bike, some rattling sound coming from the engine just from the next day of purchase... but till now they could not resolve the issue... just after 2 mnth of purchase they opened the engine head twice, very much disappointed with the bike... please suggest me what should I do... if possible plz do share ur comtact number... my suggestion to those coustomers who were planning to buy Meteor 350, plz dont go for this bike... worst experience ever 😪... 😔😔😔
I made sure I did the PDI, and I got the bike from the warehouse to the showroom. I was the one who put the fuel inside and rode it till the showroom, so jokes on you ;)
Bro..i shouldn't carry pillion..i shouldn't overtake..i shouldn't apply brakes.. for around 3months..????? Then why to buy the bike i will travel in auto.
@Nischhal Sharma not as pussy as you. Do you even know all bikes are tested at factory for quality check at high rpms. And do you even know bike comes with 5year engine warranty????
@@nischhalsharma6059 Like the protection of this colour variant, accessories like best saddle bag for meteor, cleansers, aftermarket modifications if any required as per your opinion, etc.
