Thanks, I’m having trouble memorizing how to properly do the straps on my saddle so this quick and simple video really helped me. All the other ones drag on to 10 minutes but your straight to the point.
Actually that’s a science issue. Your brain will remember anything, BUT if there’s a place, device, or source you can go to for remembering it, your brain won’t keep that information in your head, cuz it knows you can just come here. Practice few times without a video, it’ll stick
Question: I picked up a western saddle and although I am a life long rider, this saddle came with one padded cinch and nothing else. I have some nylon/fabric strips I could use; however I do not want this to rub on the flank cinch. Should I/could I just grab some strips of leather, weave them through the holes on the nylon strips and secure it to the hoops this way?
POV you’re looking at this because you can’t remember how to do it for the life of yourself and your trainer has to end up doing it for you every time. Just me?
Where I ride there’s no where to set the saddle down while putting on the saddle pad. It’s a bit of a hassle trying to carry both and put the saddle pad on and the tack room is a little far to go back and forth. How would I do that?
When I have to carry both at the same time I normally place the saddle (western) on my hip with the horn facing away from me and carry it, keeping my arm across the saddle, with my hand gripping the horn to keep it in place on my hip as I walk. I then just carry my saddle pad in my other had by the whither hole. Takes some practice but as you get stronger from carrying the saddle it will be much easier. Trust me you'll get there.❤❤❤
You can put the saddle on the ground near the horse if you need to just make sure the saddle is standing up vertical instead of laying horizontal (like when on the horses back) just make sure your horse can't get a hold of it. (When the saddle is vertical make sure the front is facing the sky)
Not great too fast and I cant follow it. I found the ehow video. Much better. You can't see on yours the looping of the straps in slow motion. Its a this that and your done video!
