@variety0670 depends on what your doing with it i recently upgraded to the 4070ti super id say you should upgrade as well with how its going with recent and upcoming games they will require more processing power and vram but for now its not too bad of a graphics card for low/mid settings

It's a good idea to test it in the actual games instead of using MSI Kombustor or Unigine Heaven. For me Cyberpunk is the best example because it's much easier to test stability in that game. It won't take long to crash so that's what I really like. For the MSI mode part, you can just leave it enabled (checkmarked) and let it on Undefined instead of High. This way the GPU will be on Auto to decide to put on normal or higher priority. Later I will try to compare it whether it makes a difference between Undefined and High.

because you simply have to press a button once the two things are downloaded, and you should see a button that says finish and before you press finish look above that and you should see 2 boxes one of them says run msi and the other one says open/run readme and you have to uncheck readme box and then press finish. If this worked tell me pls you are welcome if this worked.

maybe check in ur streaming software if cpu or gpu encoding is enabled. you should use ur gpu to encode video since it’s more efficient at doing that. and no more ram won’t change that

MSI OC scanner is kinda bullshit for me. It gives me a measly 50-70MHz when i can easily do +200MHz on core and +1000 on memory stable. 4080 super founders edition.

dawg my gpu is always above 80c during games, even when it is not overclocked, it only raised a tiny bit after overclocking, its just poor cooling of my laptop, I intend to replace my laptop with a beefier better version though

Ur graphics cards may not be supported. By msi afterburner. Or maybe the brand of your laptop has its own software and doesnt work with msi afterburner

If MSI Afterburner you can't do nothing with that GPU. If you listen me you would get a another 8 gb stick of ram same mhz and same ddr. After get an gpu like rtx 3060 it only costs 230 with 12 gb.

I have the same PC bro, did a couple major things for free and now my PC runs like a dream. Playing all current titles on Ultra between 60-165 frames depending no dips. Step one updated BIOS, then enabled resizable bar and correctly set my RAM frequency with A-XMP setting enabled on my MOBO. Disable CSM/legacy modes and enable UEFI in BIOS. Step 2, install Ghost spectre Superlite(windows 11 pro version) as your windows OS on an SSD or M.2 Major overhaul to windows removing all the excess bloat ware and telemetry. ( this step is optional if you are partial to windows defender and bloat ware xD) Step 3 was enabling gsync/freesync combo(only works if you have a compatible freesync/gsync monitor.) I had this setting disabled for years... So oblivious. Gsync/freesync monitors have a computer processor inside them that automatically adjusts the frame rate of the monitor to match your computers frames. Elimates all screen tearing and stuttering almost entirely by itself, and reduces the workload on the PC. (when utilizing this combo framer ate must be kept below your monitors refresh rate, I personally setup a profile in 3D game settings for each exe file of my games in the Nvidia Control panel. Settings are vsync on, power management prefer max power(for newer titles) and then set my max frame rate to 162(I have a 165 hz monitor and you want 2-3 frame buffer.) Next step is to debloat Nvidia driver to greatly increase performance on card, there are tutorials on this but you will need DDU and Nvcleanstall. Finally if you aren't fed up with all these priceless performance hacks I've gifted upon you, you can undervolt and overclock your 3060 in afterburner. The end results were dramatic. Also enabling MSI for your devices is a game changer as I think he may have detailed in this video. Anyways Goodluck stranger and I hope this comment greatly improves your gaming performance.

Telling people to set Afterburner to start up automatically is terrible advice. If someone ends up with unstable clocks, their PC will just crash again when it restarts, leaving them in a loop.

i have tried too use the MSI mode utility from ur given file... but you know when i opened it... a pop up occurs which says Error : requested registry access is not allowed.... what should i dooo ??? and there is one more problem..... i use a old ho laptop 15ghbz modle.... with spechs... processor: intel i5 7th gen ram: 8b gpu: radeon tm r5 m330....and there is also a integrated graphic of my cpu which is intle hd graphics 620.... the main problem is.... i cant properly use the MSI after burner....i ve tried the way ur videos says... help me...!!!

dont don’t do it then, it will change irreversible registry entries which can mess up your entire system. never do anything forma tutorial without understanding what’s it doing in detail

You are probably likely to experience thermal throttling, so just increase fan speed and you should be good, I don’t see a point of over clocking ur 4060, I have one and mine is just fine but I experience frame tear in some games even with up to 80fps at 2K res, increasing fan speed helped solve it, but if u want to risk ur gpu and laptop life for 10fps more, then sure go do that

To get the best OC settings raise your power and temp targets to max. 80c will not hurt your gpu and your fans will keep the gpu under 75C.

i need help my MHz is (405 MEM) and (210 GPU) which causes me to have drops with a 4060, whenever i use kombustor it goes to like (2325 GPU) (8570 MEM) which is like 600fps but whenever i turn it off it goes back to (405 MEM) (210 GPU) it minimises my gpu and causes drops when i have good specs

Don't use kombustor- it is just a basic stability tool not but for performance testing. When you say "causes drops" are you referring to frame drops? Your clocks shouldn't be constantly that high anyways, it will clock down

@@Freya-dn9ox well i’ve had my pc for two weeks and it’s been really good but i’ve woke up one morning and loaded up fortnite and it’s had reallly bad fps drops it’s near by unplayable, i used to run 700-650 fps in creative and about 360-320 fps in game and now it drops reallyyy baddd and i haven’t done anything to cause it

@@controllerblake. FYI every GPU/CPU is different so some can clock higher and some will not be stable/lose performance at the same settings. Overclocking GPUs doesn't get much performance gain anymore. I would try just doing Memory OC first (I have 4060 TI). I put a game in windowed mode, and MSI afterburner on top then start tinkering and see what it does to FPS.
