DO NOT PUT YOUR REGULAR GLASSES OVER THE ECLIPSE GLASSES. THE ECLIPSE GLASSES HAVE TO BE OVER YOUR REGULAR GLASSES SO IT DOESN'T CREATE A MAGNIFYING GLASS EFFECT AND FRY YOUR RETINAS
This isn't true, , also i'm nearsighted, my glasses do the exact Opposite of magnify, i'm actually less safe if i leave them off, and people that are farsighted,, won't have to worry about this either. I'll probably delete your comment simply because it isn't factual
from the NASA eclipse safety page (eclipse2017.nasa.gov/safety): "If you normally wear eyeglasses, keep them on. Put your eclipse glasses on over them, or hold your handheld viewer in front of them."
I understand what you mean by your glasses not having that effect. I'm nearsighted too. But its safer to put the eclipse glasses over so that you don't run any risks. It's also not a good idea to say that you can put your eyeglasses over the eclipse glasses because not everyone watching this video is nearsighted like us and it might cause them eye damage when they place their bifocals, for example, over their eclipse glasses
When using eye protection or looking thru the filtered binoluars. Be careful. The instinct is to remove them from your face, and then you will be looking directly at the sun. Don't do that. Haha
no, typically that will destroy your camera, in particular if you zoom in on it, a lot of modern cameras have safety features to limit the damage, either way you won't get a good image
