I had Bettas when the plant vase first was a thing. Those fish did much better than all of my other bettas that are in much bigger tanks with filters, heaters and live plants. I swear they were happier and healthier with the plant topper vases.
Nice I do this too my bettas have grown to be big beautiful betas with plants in 1 gall bowl. They sure look happier than the spoiled one all alone that has it all in the fancy tank here. My bettas watch me all the time they do there fancy swimming when I come in the room. I watch there tanks pretty good. Watch the roots roll and rinse out your moss ball or it will start to stink like weekly . Filtered water only. Safe plant food for betas. Weekly go by instructions. They add life to a home living art from our father God 🙏👍 Thank you ❤️
Hello, as plant grows I will put it in a bigger container or remove the fish. But that will be a while yet.. You can always trim the roots, but I don't like to, cause then the plant won't grow as big
To all the skeptic's out there; Betta fish CAN be PERFECTLY HAPPY and live a PERFECTLY HEALTHY life in a nanno-tank. I know because I have three lively Bettas - All of which are in Nanno-tanks. I've got two males and one female. The males are in 5 liter containers (1 and a half gallon containers) and the female is in the 1 gallon tank I originally kept my first butterfly male in. Please do not lecture me on the tank sizes BEING TOO SMALL because 5 liter containers are the suggested water volume for STANDARD SIZED (not the Giant-Betta breed) male Bettas that is recommended by the Anabantoid Association of Great Britain and it is well noted that female bettas need less space then that because they are not as territorial as the males. (However, YES, WHEN SHE GETS A BIT BUGGER I WILL BE PROVIDING INDIGO WITH HER VERY OWN 5 LITER TANK.) All of my tanks are well maintained. The water perimeters are frequently checked and water changes are done accordingly. All of my tanks are well decorated giving each betta plenty to explore. Each tank has a cave as well as well as leaves for the betta to wonder through or simply nap in. Each tank is fitted with a piece of driftwood that multi-tasks to control the water pH, maintain the nitrogen cycle, as well as produce plenty of soothing tannins for the betta. The tanks are planted with aquaponic plants and each tank is also equipped with a heater as well as sponge filtration. ACTUALLY, if I wanted to be TECHNICAL about the situation, the tanks are #technically DOUBLE filtered because of the plants (Pothos plants which sit on TOP of the tank as well as in-tank plants which control the water parameters from the BOTTOM of the tank) which draw pollutants and ammonia out of the water combined with the Bubble-powered sponge filter that is running in each tank. When I test my water parameters my readings always give me healthy readings all the way down the line. My tank temperatures stay well within the Betta-tank guidelines and I have three very healthy very happy betta fish that are growing larger each day. The first male I got which was originally kept in an upcycled one gallon pickle jar has more then doubled in size and my newest betta, the little girl, is loving her new home in her pickle jar tank. While I often find my Black Orchid male entertaining himself with how Marimo mossball, I often find my-little-Queen the blue marble crowntail female exploring the roots of her Pothos plant more so then wondering around her cave or frolicking in her substrate as my first male betta, a now fully grown butterfly male with very long flowing fins, most frequently does.
That’s like saying a chihuahua would be perfectly happy in a 75 gallon long glass aquarium because you clean it sometimes and provided it with a tiny doghouse, treats, and grass at the bottom... Sure, it’s clean and those chihuahuas may look happy, but those chihuahuas want to run around and explore an entire world, not just a little doghouse. There are plenty of nicely done planted nano tanks out there, but most are around 11-115 liters and under (around 5-30 gallons). And yes, associations may say this or that about standard sizes, but its nice to spoil your pets with something you can be proud of as well. The absolute minimum tank size for a betta fish (and this is pushing it) is 4-5 gallons, spoil your pets- they deserve it ppl :>
@@nowirehangers2815 Oh nooo I’m so hurt what a terrific comeback. If I wanted to hear the opinion of someone with an IQ lower than that of a dung beetle, I would have asked the Petsmart employees for a small fish bowl to shove directly onto your cranium to shut you up for being such an inconsiderate human and ask the obligatory Karen at the front desk’s pinky toe to write a reply for you. Please do try to be a better person, nice try though
@@nowirehangers2815 I just care for my fish, and would probably choose their lives over that of a relative or family member. Seeing people who haven’t grasped the concept of compassion or attachment to an animal is very sad and I suggest you find other things to do, or even better, go read up on how to properly care for betta fish. It’d be a much better use of your time than trying to piss off a person on the other side of the world. Also, a rant? That’s three sentences bro or do you only operate in sentences 3-11 words long lol
