Yes! It really depends on the design of the cake. You'd think it would be more cost effective but when cake designers calculate the cost it is all about the time and labor it takes to create the design. A good tip is having a faux cake with a simple design, adding in real floral and then having a sheet cake from Costco in the back. 😉
@@notjessaplanner that’s what I’m trying to convince my fiancé lol I said I’m fine with 1 tier semi naked cake with fruit or flowers and then either a sheet cake or cupcakes. He thinks my wedding day won’t be the same without the big wedding cake and I said we just need something to cut for photos lol xx
@@foxxybrown291 Yes! It's really only for the photos. 😅 Cupcakes are also a great alternative, especially since COVID everyone can get their own portion. 😊
