Great tips. Love the calendar option, I will try that. Big savings. We love our travel cc. We didn’t pay for our Iceland hotels for 9 Days. We have the chase reserve card. Also if you have chase cards you can combine points. We love getting away. Hahah lol just got back from Disney vero beach. Awesome video. Travel agent is a great place to compare. Might be even better. Love McDonald’s chin nuggs.

all good tips. Another tip that we follow (based on availability) is to rent places that have an actual kitchen, instead of the crapy resort rooms with tiny fridge and nothing else. If you stay somewhere for a week, having a full size kitchen is phenomenal. you can go to a local grocery store and get your foods for a week and not spend a dime on overpriced dining options. This might not work for everyone and for many dining if part of the traveling, but for us, on the budget and family, it saves us money.

I agree with the idea of a kitchen but also check average cost of food shopping in the target location. For example, we recetly travelled in Slovakia's mountains (Euro zone). The shopping would be expensive to cook yourself but they have very affordable hotels with half board. It was a much better deal to have breakfast buffet and dinner buffet included than buy groceries and cook yourself or eat out. On the other hand, we are going to Albania's seaside soon and from our research, it is the opposite there. It is not worth going for half board or something like this as shopping can be cheap and so is eating out. It is all about checking your options and doing research.
