Update: This no longer works since if you untick export video, you will either have to export audio or caption. With caption exporting option, Capcut has made it a Pro feature. So you can export caption, but only if you're a Pro member, which is not free anymore. But thanks for the tutorial

Right now the export SRT/TXT is not showing anymore. There's only export as video or audio format..

simple solution! But, you forgot to mention the most important part -- user must have a Pro subscription to be able to export subtitles.

I had issues trying to follow the video, but after I updated the app, capcut let me do it, it works! You absolutely saved me!!

It works, I just did it WITHOUT paying or being prompted to pay. Try it out. I'm using the latest version as well.

Thanks for answering one question i had. But how do i stop it from escorting srt and clip into a separate folder? I'll export to a folder and it creates a whole new folder with the clip and srt files in it but i just want the clip for these shorts im making and it is making a headache having to return to the main folder and moving the clip file from the subfolders every time. How do i turn OFF srt export?

If the Captions are included in the video export will the RU-vid subtitles toggle them on and off? Or do I need to export the video and captions separately and add them in RU-vid Studio so the viewer can choose?

The problem I have is that my current Capcut version does not allow only SRT exportation, I read about it and it seems to me that only PRO version of Capcut can export SRT .. would you know a different way ?

You should uncheck the video export from the export window and you'll only have an SRT subtitle file exported. The SRT file will not carry over any background information. Thanks!
