@@yuzdude5220 im not sure wether you're being sarcastic or not, but if you aren't let me educate you- in approximately 12 to 11 years all the damage we have been causing for thousand of years will be basically irreversible and the sea level will rise that will cause masses of floods, tornados, storm etc. This will then force people to move to rural areas where the sea is far. That will cause overpopulation and that will cause many and many people becoming unemployed etc. And at the end of this all the food supplies will drop because the animals are dying because the main sources of the food chain (plants, trees, grass) will be gone because of global warming. Then if we don't have clean water or food we are going to die of starvation. We will have to wear gas mask because they say that breathing that air is just like smoking, imagine little kids trying to breath but instead having to smell the fumes of gas released by their ancestors. Your families will have to suffer because of this. So even if this is a joke 'Yuz Dude' think about the future and the death of millions of future generations is no joke. Have a good night.
Hello my name is Karolay Petano Padilla I am part of the IEDFPD in grade 8 A and today I am here to give advice to save the environment _ do not throw garbage on the ground, rivers, seas ...
the problem is that people talk so much but do so little. watching videos and feeling sorry for the world will do nothing. here are a few things we could change, in our personal lives, which make a massive impact: 1. switch to renewable energy 2. stop buying and using plastic bottles. take a reusable cup to coffee shops. 3. same goes for plastic bags 4. go vegan. (if that's too hard, go vegan for a few days each week. sounds dumb but makes a massive difference.) 5. save electricity. (turn lights off when you leave the room. don't leave your phone on charge overnight. turn plugs off at the switches AND take the plugs out.) 6. save water. take shorter showers. wash dishes manually instead of using a dishwasher. (unless of course, your dishwasher is new and more efficient than washing hands manually) 7. take public transport / walk more / bike / do car shares 8. don't waste food. start a compost bin if you can - it reduces waste at landfills and gives you good soil :D 9. maybe try growing your own fruit/vegetables. or - get your produce from a farmer's market. 10. boycott unethical companies. (edited now that it's become known to me that boycotting palm oil isn't the best thing) 11. plant a tree :) 12. switch to ecosia. 13. maybe the most important: USE YOUR VOICE!!! try and influence the people you know, sign petitions, write to your local mp, whatever you can do to make a difference. people really underestimate what their voice can do. even if you manage to persuade your friend to stop buying plastic water bottles or stop driving their car to a shop 5 minutes away, it makes a MASSIVE difference. i edit this as more people give advice! thank youu
Nice comment! I agree with all of them except 6. Wash dishes manually instead of using a dish washer. Nowadays dish washers are more efficient than washing manually and use less water
My family owns a LOT of forest and i wouldnt sell it for any price. This is because i like to fotograph the wildlife, and i would like to keep the wildlife there, but some places the trees have been cut down a long time ago. Your comment now inspired me to go there and plant some new trees :))
Thank you xx more ppl need to see this. There aren’t many videos of what everyday people can do for our planet but mainly about large companies destroying forests and dumping toxic waste. So thank you for your advice and Just that one comment will have made a big difference.
The fact does not account for the space area/square footage of domesticated land vs wild land. Rather it addresses the fact that that there are an excess of domesticated animals vs non-domesticated, causing an excess in waste production that this world is not meant to equalize naturally. If humans and their domesticated animals did not exsist, and the world was never touched by humans in the first place, there would be far less creatures on this planet. The fact that 96% of animals on this planet are domesticated does not necessarily hold any evidence to the amount of "wild areas" left, because theoratically all humans and domestic animals could be crammed together and that statistic could still be valid. By saying this i do not mean to say that the wild populations and areas are not greatly reduced by our living standards, because they are. Im just stating that the fact of 96% domestic animals does not correlate to there only being 4% of wild lands. Rather the subject is far more complex. We would have to account for what the natural amount of animals would be for those wild areas. Even if we had many wild lands, our domestic animals may still make up over 50% of the animals because we mass produce livestock to feed our unnatural population of humans. I appologize if this sounds confusing at all
The earth is proven to be in a constant state of regeneration and refreshing since it cycles every year from winter, spring, summer and fall. The ozone layer is proven to replenish itself if we slow down the production of harmful chemicals and pollution entering the atmosphere. The same way your knees regrow new Cartlidge if you don't completely wear them out first. We have the resources to clean up the pollution and recycle glass, paper and plastic. The forests are proven to have a 7 year cycle of regrowth. And people manufacture oxygen for space travel and medical use so we don't depend on trees for oxygen or cleaning the air. Some journalists lie just to make themselves appear relevant, creating sensationalism for publicity.
Man thats what Im saying all this time. I mean fuck, look the situation with COVID 19. Every media all around the world is talking about it, and we found some solutions for unknown. If we just inform People on climate change and sustainable future. What can we do, and how. Individualy and colectivly. If leaders lead People in the right direction, humanity can go in the right direction. Not just for those on the top of the pyramid, but for all of the humanity and the rest of the nature that we are. We have advanced minds and are capable of doing Great acts. But we should do it in unity for unity!

NPC-Bear I’ve heard the theory were heading more towards a mini ice age too. Hard to believe what’s right except for the undeniable facts that deforestation is a huge issue, along with pesticide use, plastic, meat consumption etc. if we all got better or fixed those problems this would be a much better planet
The Boys becouse making changes means less consumption, less consumption means less commercials, less commercials means less Money! It just doesn't work for big corporations that are trying to make us depend on their existence.

because there is no money in fear and truth, but a lot of money in any form of escapism. its all about money and thats why we are doomed because that is the only thing people are focused on. and even with this information people will not change the way they are and act, why spend 8$ on beyond meat at the grocery store when you can go to mcdonlads and get a full meal for 3$. why ride a bike when a car gets you there faster, plus if you have a nice cay "you look cool", people will fail this planet until there is no longer a planet
@Mars But not only that. We need to convince governments to hear our voices and show them that if they continue to spend the way they do, we will only lead to destruction where no person comes out on top. Large change, we need to stop thinking small scale, because we are in the endgame now.
They won’t because of the meat part. The meat industry doesn’t want people to stop consuming it. There are videos like these from years ago that have so little views because RU-vid just won’t recommend them.

@@cheycl293 There are also people who gave up all animal products, but you are right, it's hard to change most people's minds. A meat tax and lab-grown meat might be the solution.
My small effort to save our planet... 1) I do not waste food by my own but if other family members have wasted it , I feed it to cows and dogs. 2) The raw vegetable waste is used to make my compost every month. 3)I collect plastic waste of our house like oil, Shampoo, water bottles etc every two months and sell them to junk dealer. This plastic is recycled further. The money I get from selling is used for buying new plants. 4) In the hottest months of the year (May and June) I fill water in clay pots for birds and animals. 5)I avoid using plastic bags while buying groceries instead I used my cloth bag. 6) I try to reuse my items and clothes and don't purchased the newer ones very often. 7) I collect AC and RO waste water to water my plants. 8) I plant trees every week ..Like in this hot month of May I have planted 5 mango trees.
@@mooiemooface1550 But there's time for us to do something about it. We can, as a species, live in ballance with nature. But thre's time, it's "just" necessary to rely on the solutions.
Thiago Muniz There’s nothing we can do about it. There is no solution. Humans will go extinct soon and that’s fine by me. I say the quicker the better. Quit trying to control nature and just let nature do what it does. Earth has been through much worse than humans. It's funny how almost 1 billion Euros was donated to the Notre Dame in a day but these rich people won't invest their money in saving the planet. Is an old cathedral as important as the planet?
The problem is that less people would donate money for the Notre Dame if others would keep burning it down. Its not about the rich who dont spend money for the environment, it's about everybody who doesn't care and continue with his intolerant lifestyle. Humanity should work together instead of trying to gather the biggest amount of cash no matter what.
you know, I can stop eating meat for the planet (and have done so years ago), but I can't rebuild old buildings so yeah, I'll donate since I can't help otherwise. Notre Dame IS an important part of history and culture that deserves to be preserved. It is great that many people help save it. I think instead of comparing and complaining we should focus on spreading awareness on this issue instead, no?
I think that the most remarkable sentence of this video is "We should do those things that we can do forever". It has an outstanding message and everyone should watch it for the sake of the world, thank you very much.
I wonder who are the 300 people that actually disliked this video. I can't believe that the solution to every modern problem is in this video. Please share this video. That's how you can help our planet.
Going vegan is the single most effective way for each of us to minimize our environmental footprint. "According to the most comprehensive analysis of farming’s impact on the planet, plant-based food is most effective at combatting climate change. Oxford University researcher Joseph Poore, who led the study, said adopting a vegan diet is “the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth.” “A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use.”. -Joseph Poore, Environmental Science Researcher, University of Oxford. This is crucial of course, but the biggest impact is eating locally and plant-based, if the goal is to dramatically reduce deforestation, water consumption, species extinction, and land and water pollution.

Consuming less meat is not a solution. 1) That'll prevent us from ever being able to do autophagy if we are never in Ketosis as adults. 2) You're just trading the problems that come with over farming animals with over farming plant we did not evolve to eat and that have natural plant pesticides that are toxic to all humans, even if we grow all of them organic.
That would be really dumb lol. I am all for limiting pollution in realistic, good ways, but global warming is not as big of an issue as mainstream media and others make it out to be. The main countries that are contributing to it are China, India, etc., not the United States
@@donavanmattson7229 actually it's your comment that's really dumb. The average americans footprint is much bigger than most others. The US is the second largest contributor to climate change after China. But China has been investing in renewable energy in recent years while america is not making any changes. But this is also to blame on the many politicians that are still taking money from the fossil fuel industry and denying the facts in the media.
It is, many private schools teach that fairy tale religious nonsense. Whether it's Christianity, Judaism or Global warming, the fairies are all the same in the end.
Rewinding used to be seen as a joke or science fiction. It's probably taken seriously as an option. now cuz of how few options are left. It's sad but exciting
Link me the study proving the climate change is man made. Controlling kids feelings is so easy. Kids shouldn't be able to vote. They vote to make the rich pay for their free stuff... Just look at detroit. Those companies moved because people voted to make them pay more taxes. You kids turn countries into venezuela. No Free Stuff. Trump 2020. I don't vote for free stuff like someone handicapped that needs others to take care of me. Thats a fact. Not feelings.
NPC-Bear studies proving climate change have been around for longer than you, read this: climate.nasa.gov/evidence/ References to studies are included near the bottom of the website. Also kids can’t vote, you have to be over 18 and most people will not have the opportunity to vote at 18 because elections aren’t every year. Btw it is an incorrect sweeping generalisation to call all under-18s socialist because I am not one for example.

Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for? In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look. It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world. We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet.
More young people should be studying ecology/zoology/plant biology/renewable engineering/other environmental subjects as their degrees. I cannot wait to start studying Zoology and devote my life to wildlife conservation and restoration of natural habitats

As a filmmaker, THESE are the videos I have always dreamt of creating. After I started travelling I got so inspired to see all of earths beauty, but at the same time, I saw so much destruction. I started studying biology as I wanted to get into wildlife/marine biology, but then stepped back and went back into filming because I felt that sharing the story and sharing this message would be a better way to raise awareness. I want to go travelling again, document everything and make a video just like this and share it with everyone!
This is an amazing idea I remember the first time I went to Mexico and a child came up to me, barefoot asking for money. I was so shocked coming from New York you feel like we have advanced as a society but when you see the reality it’s clear we’re the problem there’s a lot of people that don’t want to change their lifestyles specially in cities no matter how urgent others think it is
Aim higher. This video is pretty pictures, a lot of feel-good words that people can nod along to, and barely hinting at a real solution that people can put into effect today but not really saying anything of any substance. It’s the same “We need to make a change!” and “Open your eyes!” that we’ve been hearing for decades. People will share this for the pretty pictures, and go right back to their lives. If you want to be a filmmaker and have an actual impact, then go plant-based and make films on how a plant-based diet can actually do all the things this video says we need- less impact on the environment, less need for animal agricultural space and more rewilding, less pollution and overfishing of the oceans, more healthy food for vulnerable , starving populations, etc. Go beyond the fluff that is the entirety of this disappointment of a video. And good luck to you. As a former marine biology student and filmmaker, it’s a tough world. But you can do so much better than this hollow box of a video.
David Hernandez, there are many people that do good, if however he is the chosen figurehead for a back to nature day like Earth hour then I guess it would happen posthumously and we kind of need him to stay alive for as long as possible, the great human that he is.
He’s not just a voice actor. He has been an animal scientist and conservationist for longer than you have been alive. Probably two or three times that amount.
Finally, we started using social media to improve global conditions and to educate the world. Great work with the video. I'm sharing this everywhere I can. Thank you for creating and inspiring.
@B dub it is irrelevant that it takes alot of fossil fuel to create and maintain social media and the internet whatever. Using the internet to educate people about this and other subjects is good use of a social platform.
@B dub which is better, not using social media to raise awareness and educating people, or using it to educate people and raising awareness about an important subject? Social media would still exist, so the amount of fossil fuel they r using is very, very small and this video's cost in "fossil fuel" is absolutely nothing compared to other causes of climate change etc, and its effect on people could be tremendous. Social media and the internet itself doesnt consume much fossil fuel or further climate change. The 1st guy just said that it is a good thing, that we're using the internet for a good purpose, there was no need to point out any "hypocrisy". Irrelevant and uncalled for.
@B dub regardless whether fossil fuel is used or not, the message this video delivers is a positive one. Is it hypocritical? Thats debatable. If I were to write in a piece of paper a report on why deforestation is bad, does that make me hypocritical? Using the already existing technology to bring light to how we, as a society, can improve ourselves is nothing but a logical next step.
The key to saving our planet is easy enough for a 4th grader to grasp: we must put into effect emergency policies and protocols at a Federal level to protect all remaining ecosystems.
Ocean Blue we don’t have enough time to convince people to change their habits, it’ll be far too late :) the blame isn’t to put on people, because we are literally forced to live and consume under this system :) if the system changes, the people will have no other choice but to adapt to it :)
Ocean Blue no at all! I didn’t mean to say that :) it’s just that we have the general idea that PEOPLE need to change first instead of the industries to make a change, but in the end we don’t have time to function like this
The root of the problem is politians as most of them are older and what happens to the world in the future is none of their business so they are not inclined to fight this change
While they are cutting down trees here I am planting them 😭 ! I have already planted more than ten , I know it's not a lot but anything will help at this point . I hope everyone does whatever they can whether it's something small or big. We are only hurting ourselves if we don't. ❤
The problem is that in every channel, video etc they show the more beautiful things in the world and thats why people think everything is still fine and the world never changes but if we show the bad side people might wanna try to fix it.
I’m sure many powerful people work hard to help, but the problem is, that everyone else does not. Just because you donate all your money, doesn’t mean it’ll mean anything, if everybody else doesn’t
I think the majority makes difference. while there are only a few people try their best to change this reality, others do the opposite :)) That is why there will not be any change to see ( because it is too small )

I said, don't use things that require recycling when you're able, and you're absolutely more likely to get someone to switch their grocery bags or to replace their straws than to stop eating meat cold turkey (pun intended). Furthermore, I live on an island with 160,000 people, the island is driven by diesel generators and the vast majority of the population is impoverished in just the right way that they can all afford cars to add pollution to the atmosphere. Asking them to walk in the tropical heat is hilarious as fuck, even asking me to do that is hilarious. What isn't hilarious is advocating the mass production and acceptance of hybrid vehicles as the next best lineup, because the double edged sword with that is massive fuel economy savings (money for the impoverished) on top of the environmental footprint reduction. There are more dynamics at play than your tiny idealistic mind can comprehend, don't @ me.
This is so inspiring……if only everyone belivied in miracles and worked together maybe then they’d understand what it actually means to gain something over then money.
The earth recycles itself every year which is called summer, fall, winter and spring. The forests are proven to have a 7 year cycle of regrowth. And people manufacture oxygen for space travel and medical use so we don't depend on trees for oxygen or cleaning the air. Some journalists lie just to make themselves appear relevant, creating sensationalism for publicity.
a few ideas: buy only the things you really need and preferably second-hand / refurbished, donate or sell what you don't use anymore ; use less energy (especially heating/cooling your house, hot water and tumble-dryer) ; avoid planes and cars ; reduce your waste buy using reusable products only and buying food without packaging ; replace meat and diaries with whole grains and legumes (lentils, beans, chickpeas, etc.). And more controversial: have fewer children, and if you want a pet, choose a herbivore (guinea pig, rabbit) or a rat ^^
Good advice. People overlook how much meat pets consume world wide. Im 31 and will not be having kids. What a broken world to bring kids into anyway. Seems kind of selfish to me.
So we should abandon all the cats because they eat meat? Leave them in shelters and on the streets because less will adopt them to adopt ‘herbivores’ instead? I would only get rabbits to eat them.
MoonintheMist when your cat expires just don't get a new one. Sacrifices must be made for the greater good. Otherwise every last living thing will most likely die.
Generation Fallout that doesn’t solve any problems. Lol. a) There’s still going to be millions of cats out there ESPECIALLY if people don’t own them because then there’ll be more strays which are not neutered so they’ll breed more. To solve the ‘excess’ of cats problem neutering programmes need to be put in place and more people need to adopt and neuter their cats and give them good lives. Not just stop owning any. b) you vegans are so hypocritical. You go on and on about ‘speciesism’ and yet you’re doing exactly that here. Oh the cat is bad, it eats meat, therefore people should stop owning and looking after them and just leave them in shelters and on the street. I mean come on. Cats arose due to our breeding of wild cats into the domestic cats we have now, just the same as we bred pigs and cows. Except the cat was bred for a very different purpose; to aid us in catching mice and vermin, to protect crops, not to be food. This is simply attributing each animals intrinsic properties to how we use and value them, not discrimination based on nothing but how they look.
Honestly sometimes you just gotta keep voicing these things out. Your doing great don’t give up on your mom or anyone else who don’t believe for that matter. And if you can start saving up to using your own cloth bags or whatever, not only might you earn respect from your mom for being independent but also may move her as well 😊
people look at me like I’m crazy when I talk about reducing plastic but don’t listen to them because you are on the right path! Everyone needs to avoid plastic to help save our wildlife and planet, keep up the good work!
Guys... Do you want an advice? Start watching videos from "preppers" and just prepare yourself for the worst. Collect plastic if you want but you better learn how to make fuel out of it when the grid will go down...
*PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO.* please use metal straws. please pick up after yourself. make a habit of something that's easy and good. please reduce your use of plastic bags. if you can, walk to your destination. if not, take public transport. please try to replant what you take. please do not kill any insects only because you're scared of them. e: _every little thing will help, but at this point we need something large to change what we've done. please research on other small ways to help the environment. it'll make a difference soon c:_
Yeah, use metal straws to save the fish, but kill trillions of fish each year... Do not kill insects, but use pesticides that kill insects, instead of doing more organic pesticide-free farming. And you know why we can't do more organic farming? Because there's not enough land, with around 80% of farmland already taken up by animal agriculture, and a lot of human edible crops fed to livestock, we are thus losing most of the nutrients in plants. Avoiding meat and dairy is ‘single biggest way’ to reduce your impact on Earth: www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/may/31/avoiding-meat-and-dairy-is-single-biggest-way-to-reduce-your-impact-on-earth
use a trick called plastic bricks it's putting plastic in a plastic bottle until no more room then stack it up with more using serment use it for building it will last a while as well
@@walter.... I disagree, petrol is a far bigger immediate impact because of detriment to atmospheric properties, destruction to surface level ocean phytoplankton, and production of the vast majority of the near indestructable clear substance we've littered all around this planet. Eat fish, fish are great and will keep thriving if we allow phytoplankton to as well through our changes. Poultry is also not such a taxing farmable, but you seem to have a generalized view on the matter so I don't suppose you'd know without my telling you. Switching to plastic alternatives at every chance is not something to shame someone about either, I don't really understand that because it's almost a plenty if someone's gonna use solar panels and hybrid/electric vehicles as well.
@@ALmaN11223344 We are killing fish and other sea creatures directly, by fishing, but also indirectly, as most of the plastic in the ocean isn't straws, it's abandoned fishing gear: news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/03/great-pacific-garbage-patch-plastics-environment/ Using metal straws instead of plastic ones is a good thing, but there are also other, much more important things you can do to minimize your impact on this planet. Pointing that out isn't shaming someone. Fossil fuels are one of the biggest contributors to global pollution, there's no doubt about that, but if we also think about habitat destruction and species extinctions animal agriculture is the main culprit. Humans and livestock now account for 96% of the total biomass of mammals, with only 4% wild mammals left, while chickens and other poultry account for 70% of the biomass of all birds. www.ecowatch.com/biomass-humans-animals-2571413930.html
@@walter.... Yes going plant based is the best thing we can do, especially since our morals and ethics push us to do so, so it's an easy change. I guess you are vegan so I would say the second thing we can do is being an activist for veganism so we make the change faster.
How to Save Our Planet by David Attenborough? As Attenborough advises, “Stop waste. Stop waste of any kind. Stop wasting energy, stop wasting food, stop wasting plastic and stop wasting time. This is a precious world and each of us can use our actions and our voice to save our planet.”
No we can't. In the scope of the vastness of space and different dynamic powers within it, we are closer to helpless ants then anything else at this stage. But you go girl, + for effort.
If you really want to change the world study the message through out this song "Point Zero" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qKdGEiCL_Kk.html then if you understand it and believe it share it. Together the people with good hearts [not perfect ,no one is perfect] can change the world.
I am so happy that animal agriculture is finally getting attention as one of the main (if not THE main) sources of climate change, pollution, deforestation, etc. If you have not already, go ahead and watch the documentary Cowspiracy, which gives some quite shocking statistics as well as really questions why people who are supposed to be environmentalists are ignoring this issue. It will really cement your views on this matter. Please please please, for the sake of our planet and for the sake of the animals, STOP eating meat. And not just meat. Dairy, eggs, and fish have just as much of an impact, if not more so! Go vegan, it’s probably the biggest impact you can have on the world! 🌎 Also, for anyone who doesn’t understand why animal agriculture is so detrimental, it’s because of all the plants and grain we feed to them. The energy conversion ratio from plants to animal to human is so poor its almost stupid. No, it IS stupid. Feeding a cow many many pounds of grain and then to get just one pound of beef to eat is so incredibly wasteful. Did you know that we could end world hunger if we just redirected the plants we feed to animals, to people instead? I’m not even mentioning other problems such as runoff, methane emission, water use, clear cutting of the Amazon Rainforest for cattle to graze, the extreme overfishing of our oceans (also the bycatch of dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles), all for a meal that lasts 15 minutes, when there are abundant plant based alternatives that taste just as delicious. Wake up people!! It’s time to change your habits; it’s time to do what’s RIGHT, not what serves your own self interests. That may sound harsh, but I think it’s about time that people need to hear it; it’s not just a “personal choice” when it affects others - not just animals either (though animals suffer absolutely horrible lives in this industry, I’m kind of skipping over that part of veganism just because this is a environmental video, but i’m not trying to downplay that aspect at all, because to be truly honest, loving animals is what actually led me to veganism, but the environmental reasons are super compelling as well). Sorry for this long rant :)
If I was a teacher, a queen, a princess, a mother, a grandmother, or anything else... I would show this to kids and teenagers in order to show them the truth and to be aware of what's happening to Planet Earth. I would choose to talk to teenagers and kids because they are the powerful ones here and their actions REALLY have a huge impact on everything as the actions they will take to protect the ONE home that they have, the impact on the Leaders...Etc. Money is not the problem it is greed that is gonna kill the world and kill us.
