Great info. I am facing the same root rotting problem after repotting it by separating it from it's mother plant. When I dug up the soil, the base leaves were soggy and rotten. I've removed the rotten part and have left them in medium sunlight to dry and will repot in 2-3 days. I noticed you have chopped off the roots completely, will that not hamper it's life and growth?
Its always better to plant it with roots. I chopped off the roots because they were rotten. if the rotten part is kept I'm sure the plant will die eventually. I took the chance and the plant survived

Thank you for the video, very useful, may I ask a question though. After the plant dries and you plant it in the soil, how do you water the plant? I have a similar situation due to overwatering and I saved the plant but I want to make sure that I do not over water again. should I put it in the soil and leave it for another week before watering? and then when I water it, how much exactly and how often? I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to help me out. Thanks!
Abdul - It also depends on what climate you live in. If you live in a hot/dry region it will be completely different than where I live in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. i only water mine once a month because there is so much moisture in the air and its rather cool. just make sure it completely dries out before watering, give it a good moistening and let it dry out completley between each watering. good luck!
tomorrow i did the same my aloe plant's stem was so long so i cut and replant again but i didn't put the plant for 2,3 days to get dry but didn't give water what u thing will it grow further i don't want to loose my 4 year old plant.

First allow the base to dry up to form callus. Just keep them in well drained soil. Make sure not bury the base too much. Dont water immediately. Keep it in shady area for a week. @@Bincyness hey also when you say water after a week does that mean 5 days or a full 7? mine calloused really well after 2 days and I've put it in the soil and in shade. Thx to you
They are mostly gnats. Keeping your soil moist always, welcomes them. 1)Try always to keep the top soil dry 2)spreading thin layer of neem powder on the topsoil and using neem spray also should help.
