In this Microsoft Access tutorial, I'm going to teach you how to schedule a forced shutdown time for all users logged into your Microsoft Access database. In Part 2 we will setup a TempVar to track the database startup time. We will them setup a timer event in our main menu to check to see if the shutdown time has passed.

Great job. When I have a front end - back end database without users login, how can I lock the database in a specific future date ? (maybe I have payment per month or year)

I use a similar approach in my applications and another one that prevents users to reopen the backend database after they are forced to shutdown.

I think I could figure the shut down from to part but I'd rather follow the Access Guru so I don't go off the cliff alone...
