She seems to be nice, most of operation nurses i worked with were so arrogant and thought they were half surgeons. The main task of nurses in the operation room is to help the surgeons and not to insult young doctors who just started their career as many tend to do.
Its important for everyone to value the others in the team and treat each other with respect. I'm sorry you had a bad experience and I hope you make sure the culture in your area is now supportive.
It is a global problem. In every country, there are similarities around "allowing mobbing" in the OR. The working management in the operating room should be improved, but unfortunately, there is hierarchy of work, that is set so some bad behavior can hide under of working rules as maintaining sterility etc. It can be used for the purpose of being badly and arrogant.
Many of the hospitals have sinks with foot pedals that control the water. So water is not wasted in these cases. Their sink seems a bit outdated in that sense :)
These are reasonably old sinks, a lot of newer OR's have sensor taps, but unfortunately there is still waste of water. However the procedure of a safe and sterile scrub is far more important than water wastage.
