I so agree with you! Idk why but there's just something about doing it on a human hand versus a fake hand, I understand it alot better (not that I don't with a fake) it's just more enjoyable too!

I got the fiber gel in the mystery box and it's a fantastic product. I used it as the glue for the full cover tips and it's still on 4 weeks later! I filed down and trimmed a bit, and back filled by the cuticle with more fiber gel. It's seriously one of the best nail products I've ever used. I can not believe how durable it is on my very thin nails.

You can use the bottle or the pot, it’s the same product. You don’t need to mix fiber gel with hard gel. We would use one or the other.

I did this before exactly the same way and length it doesn’t work tbh only lasted 2 weeks and half craked because its too soft and flexible but it does work for a much shorter length Or to fix a corner of a nail. (Also i had layers of ultimate top coat because of the design i had)

I agree, I did this for a client and her nails kept on breaking. So fibergel for longer nails might not be the best. Indeed for shorter nails yes, since fiber gels are quite flexible

Every nail and client is going to be different. Some clients can wear this product extension with no problem but others may need the extra durability of an acrylic or hard gel enhancement. This is why there are so many options as not every product will work for every nail.

I used this to extend 3 nails on a client that had very short bitten nails up to the top of her fingers to match the other nails and she had infills and her nails grew and nail bed got longer Love this mani Q builder gel ❤

I did this today! Looking forward to seeing how it holds up on my hairdresser friend 🙏. I’m using nude but I’m finding the pot is runny compared to the bottle, is this normal? I LOVE this product ❤

They are both the same product, but it's possible that the pot feels more runny just depending on the brush you use to apply it. Since the brush in the bottle is immersed in the product, the product tends to stick more to the brush & feel thicker. When you use a clean gel brush to pick up from the pot, it tends to release easier since there isn't product in the bristles to grab the product.

I"m wondering< can you mix some glitters with some clear fiber gel to add some dimension design on this gel nail technique with the extensions and just layer them to make sure glitters stay put? I'd probably use all clear fiber gel for this?

Yes, you can add some glitter to fiber gel. I wouldn't add a lot as fiber gel is already a thicker product and glitter will make it more so.

Should you use base under fiber gel and what's the longest nail length that can be scuplted from fiber?

I don’t know about length, but I do know that Fiber gel is the base gel. You don’t need any other Base.

You don’t need a base under fiber gel and we don’t recommend going any longer than what Greg shows in the video. If you want more length, you would use hard gel instead.

@youngnailsinc What is the benefit of using the fibergel vs synergy gel? I’m thinking it is to give the nail keratin and fiberglass support? Or is it about soak -off vs filing off of hard gels. I ask because I have a split running vertically from free edge to eponychium it is thankfully still under the top nail layer -so I can’t feel it - but can see it. I’ve been going back & forth all day from fibergel to hybrid with acrylic and synergy gel. Any thoughts?

Fiber Gel is a soft gel and can be soaked off whereas Synergy is a hard gel that would need to grow out or be filed off. Fiber Gel does tend to be more flexible so it works great over natural nails. Because it has synthetic micro fibers within it, these fibers can form a mesh-like structure within the gel, which is great for holding cracked nails together and allow the damage to grow out. If you are just wanting to do an overlay on your natural nail, we would recommend trying the Fiber Gel first. You can build a little structure with this to hold the crack together. If this isn't working and you feel you need more support, you may want to try an acrylic overlay or extension.

I have had good luck just lightly rubbing against the grip of my cuticle pusher. Visually I can’t see a difference but I can sure feel the difference.

You just need to go over the edge so it is not sharp where it would cut the skin when you file. Going over the edge once or twice is generally enough, you shouldn't have to file the gritty surface where it would feel worn.

Great video but I've seen lifting od the side, why didn't you remove that? For video purpose or, it should be removed because it could cause further lifting.

This video was intended to show how to build a full set from the start. Most likely you will not have remaining product like this on the nails when you begin your full sets. However, the product you are seeing remaining on the nail is a Cover color and is more opaque. Because our cameras are such high definition, it may look like it is lifting, but it is just the remaining product and has been prepped well enough to apply the Fiber Gel.
