I think you should have carved out the negative space, so that your design would be raised above the background. I think you would like then result better. I have some experience carving on rocks, and love seeing others having fun with it too...
@@BoomCreateTV if you keep the rock wet while working on it, it not only keeps your dust down, but it will also keep your bits cool, which will prolong the life of your bits. Letting the bits do the work instead of using too much pressure will prolong their life roo...
Man, I missed this comment! Sorry. Mine is a flex shaft carver with the motor on the other end. I went cheap and got it from Harbor freight. I ended up upgrading the handpiece though. Most any dremel style rotary tool would work if you have the diamond bits. Remember to the rock and bit with water to keep cool!
Thanks for posting this. I would get more out of it if you did not speed up the carving. I want to see what tool you use and how it cuts. I am not as interested in your composition as much as the execution. Keep up the good work. Tio
I think you did a Great job! I’m just starting to attempt to learn how to do this. But I was told you have to use water while carving rocks! Is this not true? And are you using a certain grit on your bits!?
