I tried leak seal on my Subzero mask and it was so textured. I want to give it another shot though. I think an SMG would be a good quick project to test it on. It could be built and sealed in a day no problem.
I've noticed that while kwik seal can quite easily look rough and textured, after it's sanded and covered in kwik seal it's virtually impossible to tell where it was applied. If you used a different sealant than leak seal, it's possible that has an effect on the final results as well. If you do give it another shot, I'd love to see the result :-)
