This is the best shaker tutorial I've ever seen. The funnel drilling tip is genius, as well as cleaning off excess uv resin on the charm border before doming. I have made countless shakers and there will always be some that leak. I hope with your tips i can eliminate that happening 💖
Ugh! Wtf didn't I find this video 2 years ago?? This is by and far the best shaker tutorial I've found and it would have done me so much justice to have found it back when I started. Grrr.... Thank you for this and I hope more people find it ALOT sooner than I did.
I have to tell you how refreshing your videos are. You are clear, detailed, and organized. I was a public speaking professor for 32 years and this is exactly what I wanted from my students. I think you should be teaching other RU-vid creators how to make good instructional videos. You did not talk too much, it was just right. I’d give you an A+ for all of the videos I have watched from your channel!
I LOVED all the techinical wording and in-depth explanation! Not enough people do that in general, and it leaves inquisitve minds, or people who like to know the true ins-and-outs of things, something to be longed for. GREAT JOB! I haven't made any yet but this video was absolutely perfect to introduce me to it!
This taught me things I didn't know even after over a year making shakers. Like the funnel hole, I'd have never thought to do that. Thank you so much!! 💕
BEST RESIN SHAKER TUTORIAL! You go through the needed technical things without wasting time on the resin pouring, paper cutting etc. Fan for life, thank you!
Great Video. This video contains the proper elements of a tutorial video: 1. Audio and Video are perfect. No issues. 2. The instructions are clear, simple to follow. And includes diagrams and "not to do" warnings. 3. There are no rambling, or dead space moments. 4. The video moves at a comfortable pace. It was 13:28 minutes, but actually felt about half that time.
There was so much useful info here that, as a total beginner, some of it went past me at the time. After making a few leaky shakers, I watched it again and realized what important info I had missed or forgotten about and it blew my mind You are truly an expert
This was super helpful and informative! Thank you for clarifying everything. I was a bit confused without it, so don't beat yourself up for being "excessive" or whatever, I think you did awesome.
This is an excellent tutorial!! I had all my questions answered! You did not talk too long. For me, I was afraid to fast forward, I didn’t want to miss anything. Thanks, Amy.
This is one of the best tutorials I've ever watched. I've never done a shaker charm before and I've watched several tutorials and none mentioned epoxy and UV resin not adhering that well. Which is good to know! Thank you for sharing. The diagram was also very clear and helpful.
Very useful techniques. As a non English speaker, I watched this video twice and all my questions about the resin shaker have been solved. Thank you for filming this video ✨✨✨.
Fantastic tutorial! No you didn't talk to much, you gave a very thorough explanation of why you do things the way you do! I am very grateful I found your video. I am waiting on my shaker molds to get here and had a lot to learn about how to make them. Thank you for making and sharing this video! 💕
This video was so helpful.! For those who are new to shaker resins,, you left no room for error, you were very thorough and explained everything very well. Thank you so much.! Hopefully my shakers come out as beautiful as yours 💕🌈
I actually love how you talk through your videos giving instruction. You made this so much easier to understand because you explained everything...thank you😊
This was incredibly helpful for this ADHD brain! Scratched all the areas! Scientific explanations! Amazing diagrams! Visual step by step! Perfection! ❤
I literally subscribed to your channel BECAUSE you gave a lot of the technical information on this! It prevented a whole lot of mistakes for me so no apology needed for the "extra" info! It was greatly appreciated!
I am new to resin making and have been wanting to make shakers for my grandkids. After watching your video, I now feel confident enough to make my very first shaker. Thank you so much ❤
This is by far the best tutorial I have ever seen on making shaker charms. I've been having a lot of troubles myself and this has really clarified where I've been going wrong and what I need to do instead. Thank you!
This is the BEST video I have seen on making shakers. I have struggled with them and have hated making them. I think I will give them another shot now. Thank you!
Great tutorial, even for someone that doesn't understand english very much and who never uses resins before, like me! Thanks for sharing your precious knowledge. I've discover what plastic shrink is right today, and I was looking for some tutorials on you tube. Hopefully I've found yours. I'm here because I want to learn how to make my creations with plastic shrink more secure with your resin methods. I'll watch all of your videos! Thanks again and my sincere compliments, you're a great artist and a wonderful teacher.
This was the best tutorial ever!! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge in a concise and understandable way! I loved all the techinical stuff. You saved me time testing things out.
Hi, Amy! I just watched this video again. It is definitely the best shaker tutorial I've seen. There are some really good tips in here, like about leaving room around the clear film for the epoxy resin to adhere to the frame. Great to know! And there are more tips, too. Thanks!
Excellent vid and perfectly explained!! THANK YOU! Ps you didn’t overly talk! It was perfect. I can’t stand watching videos where they give their whole life story instead of getting to the point! This was perfect
This was great! I never knew uv resin didn’t adhere to epoxy well!! This is very helpful. Thank you so much. I hope this will solve my leaky shaker problem
Omg thank you soooo much I’m so glad I came across this video!! I had to throw away three shakers because the last two videos I watched didn’t explain it in detail like you!! You are a blessing! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
You're excellent at explaining this! You didn't talk too much at all and I completely understood what you were explaining. Great video and thanks so much!! I'm going to try making mini shaker jars tomorrow ❤️
What a fantastic tutorial! I have all my items for shakers finally. I watched your video a while back, but came back for a refresher (and 2 pages worth of notes I took 😂) So tomorrow ill be trying for the first time. Thanks for the great details, it was super thorough!
Thanks for this! I had no idea that UV and epoxy don’t stick to each other well. My UV resin has been curing slightly tacky recently so I was going to dome my last couple of pieces with epoxy, I think I’ll just switch over to epoxy completely now.
Very good!!! Really helpful! And I love the shaker water supply suggestions! I like how thorough your explanations are. Lots of effort went into making the visuals, clearly! And your shakers are so flippin’ pretty and cute! I’m inspired!
So helpful! Thank you! I am fixing to make my second shaker (first was a fail, should have watched this first lol). Thankfully it was just a test shaker so I could see my mistakes and learn from them! ❤️
Thank you so much for finally addressing this issue. I've told my Instagram followers time and again that the three main materials don't hold together well...it's a slow learning process 😅 but hopefully people will finally do it right.
I am so glad I found this! My first attempt is… wonky. Not terrible and not leaking yet, but it feels imminent. I feel much better about my future shakers. Thank you!
Thanks again for another great tutoral. Doming the back after the resin cures while it's still in the mold is a genius idea. I won't waste money on liquid latex, but I've heard that Elmer's glue works just as well. Haven't tried it myself, but I hope to soon. I miss making shakers.
Such a helpful video, thank you! I also wanted to mention that sometimes I punch 2 holes in the film before I add it, so that air can escape easier out of the 2nd hole while I fill the 1st one. Really helps on pieces you don't want a bubble in as well. :) Buying myself a 1/16" punch now, thank you! Perfect size for this use.
Thanks! Keeping the bubble helps the inclusions move more so I tend to keep it in for my shakers. Definitely a personal preference though. With a 1/16 punch, you don’t need to add a second hole for the air to escape Since it’s still large enough where it’s not a tight fit with the needle point bottle.
@@AmyMade I'll try keeping bubbles in there more then, to see if that helps my inclusions move better. Great to know the 1/16 punch helps with that too, so I'll definitely give it a go! I have those same filler bottles, so that will be handy.
