first thing in my head: research linux terminal until you can navigate, then utilize ps command to see what's going on a bit more. when things freeze up it feels like its always related to memory consumption / cpu usage. Better answer: type "freezing when right clicking tails" into google

Only stuff in persistent storage stays on your flash drive, all else goes away. I also think you can do the same with password manager just get one that won't get hacked like lastpass

good catch, I used a vid from something else for that part. you can put tails on the external ssd just as well. The point is: having enough storage space and speed to host the monero blockchain locally, which is THE way to do it if you actually value the project and it’s philosophy. Also, it’s the safest option for interacting with the network. it’s 100+ gb and increasing every day.

@@umalivealeatoria5474 Not better, not worse. I like feather wallet, but also like the GUI. Reason I don't go with GUI sometimes is because it's "heavier" (lol) and on lower end computers can be annoying imo. Either is ok tho

idk what part of the vid ur referencing specifically; but generally in regard to zero-sum adversarial conflicts, defense-in-depth (layered stacking of defensive measures) is correlated with desirable outcomes historically from the perspective of the defender. This truth can also be applied with great success to systems / operations you wish to protect from adversaries within the digital battlescape.

However, if the Monero wallet 11:43 itself is a vulnerability within Tailwind OS, it makes me question the overall efficacy of surrounding it with extensive security measures. Essentially, doesn’t a vulnerable core compromise the integrity of the entire system, despite the layered defenses?

@@aijokker What you say is true, however: There's a good graph that displays an exponential curve, where as you increase security of a system, usability goes down, until you have the most secure, least usable security protocol. Every system is going to be vulnerable in some way, shape or form; you just have to calculate the amount of risk you are willing to incur. SSD is def needed for storing the monero blockchain in tails persistent storage, otherwise syncing is super slow. You don't need to; I didn't demonstrate it in this video, but it would be optimal. As for seeds / pass phrases in general: I definitely agree with you, only way you're getting it is through torture, which effectively negates taking that ancestral lineage dishonoring level L if your threat modeling is primarily pitting you against agents of a Western / Liberal nation state (though that could change).
