Ok, I was just telling my son that I wish Japan tourism videos were organized by levels. I am prepping for a trip in 2025 and I have seen hundreds of youtube videos on everything Japan. I know the basics, I just want the advanced stuff. The next video I clicked was yours. Its like you heard me. This is an advanced cherry blossom video for sure. Thank you!
If you cant make it to Japan you can see the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. The Japanese gave the US a bunch of trees and they surround the tidal pond near the Jefferson Memorial. If you decide to go you will definitely have to make reservations for hotels. They sell out during this time
just wanted to say that your editing keeps getting better and better! we love growth 😁 and also great and informative video as always. much love from germany 🫶🏾
We used Klook to book our shinkansen tickets online from Canada. The JR EX app wouldn't let us do it with our Canadian Visa credit card. We're travelling to Japan mid-March and worried about getting train seats. With Klook we were able to book; the only downside was we couldn't pick the exact seats we wanted. The website just auto selects them for you. Keep up your great videos, Allison!
Thanks for your honesty, my partner and I will be traveling for the first time almost during Cherry blossom season and we worry either be too late or the blossoms will be over- but I do like the advice of, just keep walking, there's blossoms to see! 🌸 Less anxiety inducing 😅😅
Thank you Allison for the video. I will be in Tokyo from the 23rd to 30th March to view the blossoms. I cannot emphasise how important your warning about NOT touching the flowers are. To all who are watching this video, please do not be a prick and touch the flowers and worse still, SHAKE the branches. I saw tourists doing this at the east gardens of the Imperial palace. I actually told them not to do it. Please tell the tourists off if you see them.
Good tips we are planning to go to Japan next Fall just to avoid the busier Spring but will go back in Spring time at some point just to see the cherry blossom blooming
Great video, Allison - we visited Japan last year during Sakura season not to see cherry blossoms but just because that’s when the kids’ spring break is. We are lucky because where we live in Canada there are a lot of cherry blossom trees throughout the city, even our crappy 7-11 down the street from us has a few of the weeping cherry blossom trees! But of course, being in Japan in general is always nicer and picturesque, even for Sakura viewing 😅
Last year I wanted to go to Mount Yoshino (which is full of cherry trees and very crowded on sakura season) but the trains from Osaka were fully booked. There was no way to visit the place, so I recommend to book everything many days before (at least two weeks)
I'm going to Japan from March 18th to April 10th and hope to get a chance to see some of these! In my state in the US we have lots of Sakura trees. I have one large tree in my front yard and I remember a day in Late March of 2020 during the beginning of lock downs and I saw an elderly Asian man outside taking photos of the tree on his phone. He looked very wistful and I often wonder if he was thinking of home.
I will be in Japan in less than a month for two last weeks of March and I cannot wait to see cherry blossoms, (but tbh I think the bright pink ones are the prettiest and it looks like I'm gonna miss them hehe) 😆😆
thank you for creating this, I just booked my flight today for those dates you mentioned 🌸if I did my research more earlier I definitely would've picked the Feb dates so I could see the pink cherry blossoms but oh well
Great advice. Another point to add on is Pollen allergies. I was affected by it years ago during the Sakura season. Do wear a mask 😷 or prepare some allergy medicine.
I take every chance I get to sing its praises because it literally changed my life: Anyone suffering from environmental allergies for whom mainline medications don't help enough, PLEASE consider taking the supplement NAC (N Acetyl Cysteine). It's affordable and very easy to source! I know this is a goofy response to a comment, but for real, NAC is magical! Everyone, be safe and take care!! 💜💜💜
Join the JET program and teach. Thats how most of them do it. Also they live there temporarily. They arent citizens since theyre foreign. Theyd have to be married and have babies to perminantely stay there.
Somethings cannot be Searched for , only Discovered . I love the blossom season, looking forward to seeing them! 👀🌸🎀I don’t think many people think much, of them, where I live! But I still enjoy, them! Either at the local park, or just passing by a 🌳🌸😊
Kind of random question but does lighting in Japanese apartments tend to be so harshly cool white? I remember my apartment when i studied abroad had similar lighting as yours and I couldn't stand it as I was used to warmer lighting at home, don't know if it's a cultural thing?
How many best places do you recommend in Tokyo for tourists in 3 days please? Which is the best pass for 4 people from Tokyo ( 3 days) then we will go to Osaka city ( 3 days ) . And we will be back to Tokyo for the last day. Which passes we should buy for? Please help us . We will be there in 8 days total. We are very excited for our Japan trip.
