This is an awesome trick that a student of mine shared with me that she learned in a quilting class she took at the same time as my drawing lessons. It's great for drawing too, especially when you're converting a color image to graphite or charcoal- black and white. Let me know if you have questions or other ideas for how to apply this. I'm guessing it would work for any color of plexiglass, too, although yellow would likely be too light. Try green or blue plexiglass if you have access to that, vs. red plexiglass.
